MILAN.-Presiden Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo secara terbuka telah mengatakan keinginannya agar sang penyabet sembilan kali juara MotoGP, Valentino Rossi, berada di kokpit mobil F1 Ferrari ketiga pada 2011 mendatang.
Berbicara di Milan, Montezemolo mengatakan bahwa Rossi telah membuat sesuatu tanda besar di dunia balap motor dan sekarang dia harus mengambil tantangan yang lebih tinggi yakni F1.
Seperti dilansir Visiordown.com, Montezemolo mengatakan “Kami ingin mobil F1 ke tiga dan saya akan melakukan apa saja untuk mendapatkan Rossi,” ungkap orang Italia ini.
Montezemolo menambahkan, “Cukuplah sudah jika dia memenangkan kejuaraan MotoGP tahun ini, dia juga harus menang di Formula Satu,” tambah Presiden Ferrari.
Hasil ujicoba Rossi di kokpit Ferrari F1 di sirkuit Cataluna menunjukkan hasil yang luar biasa, membuat Montezemolo geregetan ingin memboyong Rossi dari MotoGP ke F1. Selain itu, rumor yang mengabarkan tentang ketidak harmonisan kedua pembalapnya juga menjadi faktor timbulnya hal ini.
Namun yang masih mengganjal pada diri Rossi karena Rossi merasa dia tidak memiliki kesempatan yang realistis tentang masa depan F1, dia merasa dirinya sudah terlalu tua berada di F1.

  1. oke… dalam latihan rossi boleh lah catat waktu yg baik, tapi balap F1 bukan hanya QTT, tapi dogfight one on one bahkan bisa lebih… disini saya belum yakin rossi bisa langsung sukses seperti keinginan luca… setidaknya ada masa adaptasi… 😀
