Darmady Tjuatja : TVS Adalah Bayi Yang Akan Jadi Raksasa

JAKARTA.- Terhitung sejak Mei 2010 kemarin, Darmady Tjuatja telah resmi ditunjuk untuk menjabat sebagai Chief Operating Officer PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia (TVSMCI).

Lelaki yang telah lebih dari 29 tahun malang melintang didunia bisnis otomotif, akhirnya menerima pinangan PT TVSMCI, untuk membawa PT TVSMCI kearah pertumbuhan yang terus meningkat diantara raksasa otomotif roda dua yang telah puluhan tahun menancapkan pondasi pasarnya di Indonesia.

Menurut Darmady, pinangan ini tak serta merta diterima begitu saja. Karena dirinya merasa perlu melihat seperti apakah wujud serta visi dan misi TVS yang sesungguhnya di Indonesia.

“Butuh enam bulan untuk melihat lebih dekat dan meyakinkan saya untuk menerima pinangan PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia untuk bergabung menjadi COO PT TVSMCI” jelas Darmady Tjuatja disela sela peluncuran TVS Neo X3i di Jakarta.

“Ada satuh hal yang saya rasa sangat sejalan dengan hati saya, yakni komitmen TVS untuk terus menancapkan nilai-nilai profesionalisme seperti Trust (kepercayaan), Value (nilai) dan Service (layanan). Karena itu, saya yakin dan menerima pinangan PT TVSMCI,” tambahnya.

Hal ini juga diakui oleh Presiden Direktur PT TVSMCI, BLP Shimha, “Dramady dan PT TVSMCI memiliki nilai-nilai dan profesionalisme yang sama yaitu Trust, Value dan Service. Saya yakin PT TVSMCI akan mencapai level kompetitif yang lebih luas di pasar Indonesia.”

Menurut Darmady, pasar otomotif Indonesia diibaratkan sebagai sosok gadis yang molek. Hampir seluruh pabrikan motor berlomba-lomba untuk merayu dan meraih penjualan sebesar-besar nya di Indonesia. Masih menurut Darmady, ada satu nilai lebih yang membuatnya yakin pada TVSMCI, yaitu kepercayaan yang ditanamkan TVS di Indonesia dengan melakukan investasi yang sangat besar.

“Tak seperti pabrikan lainnya yang menjual produk terlebih dahulu sambil memantau kondisi pasar. Sementara TVS langsung memanamkan investasinya yang sangat besar, karena yakin bahwa Indonesia merupakan pasar yang sangat besar bagi TVS,” jelasnya.

“Kedepan, TVS akan menjangkau seluruh lapisan segmen pasar motor yang ada di Indonesia. Karena kebutuhan masyarakan berusia 20 tahun hingga 25 tahun akan sangat berbeda dengan yang berusia 30 tahun hingga 40 tahun. Dan TVS akan memenuhi itu semua,” tambah lelaki yang hobi olah raga golf dan sepeda ini.

Darmady sangat yakin akan pertumbuhan TVS di masa mendatang. Bahkan kedepannya, pertumbuhan dari out put pabrik TVS di kawasan industri Surya Cipta Industrial Estate, Karawang, Jawa Barat, mencapai 1 juta unit motor TVS pertahun.

“Untuk saat ini bolehlah TVS dikatakan sebagai bayi, karena usianya sendiri baru 3 tahun di Indonesia. Tapi kedepan, sang bayi ini akan tumbuh besar dan sangat besar dan saya yakin akan lebih besar dari mereka yang telah hadir lebih dulu di Indonesia.”

Ya. Darmady mengibaratkan bahwa TVS merupakan sosok bayi yang akan menjadi besar dan sangat besar. Bermodal networkingnya di dunia bisnis otomotif  yang telah dijalaninya selama puluhan tahun, Darmady yakin akan mampu memberik kontribusi yang maksimal pada TVS dan bangsa Indonesia di masa mendatang.

“Kalau dia bisa, kenapa kita tidak bisa,” pungkas Darmady Tjuatja.
