Motor Penggaruk Tanah Ala SHMC

GilaMotor,DEPOK.– Tak ada rotan akar pun jadi. Seperti itulah pepatah lama mengatakan untuk menggambarkan usaha yang dilakukan dengan berbagai cara guna mewujudkan tujuannya. Itu pula yang dilakukan sebuah bengkel modifikasi di kawasan Sawangan Depok.

Rumah modifikasi yang satu ini boleh dibilang tak boleh melihat motor rongsokan, selama mesinnya dianggap masih bisa diberdayakan, otak dan tangan-tangan terampil pasukan Satu Hati Motor Community (SHMC) yang dikomandani oleh Johan alias Acong, langsung bekerja membuat motor rongsok yang sudah tak layak jalan jadi motor yang bisa diajak bersenang-senang.

Lihatlah jejeran motor gubahan pasukan SHMC bergaya motor penggaruk tanah ini. Sebagian motor-motor bergaya motorkros ini berasal dari motor yang sudah tak layak jalan, tapi kini siap memberikan sensasi berkendara di medan off road.

Kemampuan motor-motor ini tak perlu diragukan. Kendati tenaganya masih sangat jauh bila dibandingkan dengan motor-motor penggaruk tanah sesungguhnya, tapi motor ini mampu menerjang jalan tanah berlumpur dan gundukan-gundukan tanah dengan kecepatan yang terbilang lumayan.

Sensasi pengendaraan di lintasan off road-pun tak kalah dari motorkros asli, hanya saja motor ini tak mampu melompat setinggi motorkros milik KTM, Kawasaki, Suzuki dan beberapa merk lain. Wajar, karena mesin motor ini berasal dari motor rongsok yang nyaris dibuang.

“Awalnya kebetulan emang suka motor chopper dan motocross. Kalo chopper udah pernah kita buat dan sekarang kepikiran bikin motorkros,” kata Acong.

“Saat satu motor jadi, kita coba kemampuannya dijalan aspal dan ternyata lumayan dan bisa gaya pula. Akhirnya kita coba di lintasan off road, dan hasilnyan gak jelek-jelek banget. Biar kata gak bisa seperti motorkros sungguhan, tapi masih bisa melumat trek offroad yang lumayan ekstream,” tambah lelaki bertubuh gemuk ini.

Dari satu motor itu, kini muncullah motor-motor penggaruk tanah lainnya dengan tenaga dan kapasitas mesih yang sudah lebih baik.

“Yang pertama sih gak puas sama tenaganya, kalo dibuat jumping kurang tinggi, akhirnya kita rombak lagi mesinya jadiin 150 cc, karena awalnya hanya motor CB dan GL bermesin 100 cc,” kata awak SHMC yang akrab disapa Bebeng.

Motor-motor gubahan pasukan SHMC ini kini menjadi armada hobi baru. Setiap minggu atau paling tidak dua minggu sekali, pasukah SHMC ini off road hingga ratusan kilo meter.

“Sudah jadi rutinitas mingguan off road dengan motor-motor ini. Terakhir kita jalan dari Sawangan ke kawasan Pasar Cicangkal Serpong, Tangerang, melintasi jalur tanah yang beragam,” kata Acong.

Bicara masalah pengerjaan, untuk satu motor bisa memakan waktu hingga satu bulan dengan biaya mencapai Rp 8 juta hingga Rp 10 juta.

“Pengerjaan lebih kurang satu bulanan dengan biaya sekitar Rp 8 juta sampai Rp 10 juta. Rubahannya mencakup rangka, kaki-kaki, ban, sok depan dan belakang,” pungkas Acong.
