New Mega Pro : Blasteran Jepang, India dan Indonesia

GilaMotor, BOGOR.- PT. Astra Honda Motor (AHM) secara resmi meluncurkan produk terbaru mereka New Honda Mega Pro 150 cc hari ini, 9 Agustus 2010 di Sentul International Convention Center, Bogor Jawa Barat.

Honda mengklaim bahwa New Mega Pro bermesin 150 cc, 4 tak, SOHC, 5 percepatan ini, telah mengaplikasi mesin baru XRP Engine (X-tra Responsive Performance Engine) sehingga lebih bertenaga dan hemat bahan bakar.

Guna menghasilkan gas buang yang lebih ramah lingkungan, Honda juga mencangkokan sistem CECS (Crankcase Emission Control System). Sistem ini berfungsi untuk mengatur gas buang dari crankcase guna mencegah pelepasan emisi ke udara.

Selain itu, Honda juga membenamkan sistem SASS (Secondary Air Suplay System) Euro 2 guna memberikan suplay udara bersih yang akan mengurangi emisi dengan membakar sisa gas pembakaran di exhaust.

Dari segi tampilan, pabrikan motor yang bermarkas di Jepang ini mengambil basis desain dari motor sport Honda yang belum lama diluncurkan di India, Unicorn Dezzler. Hanya saja yang membedakan, kandungan lokal motor ini hampir 100 persen berasal dari Indonesia.

Seperti diungkapkan Julius Aslan selaku Direktur Pemasaran PT. AHM, bahwa 95 persen motor ini telah menggunakan konten lokal dari Indonesia.

“AHM hanya menggunakan desain nya saja, sementara kandungan lokal motor ini telah mencapai 95 %,” ungkap Julius.

Honda memproyeksikan motor bermesin 150 cc ini sebagai motornya kaum muda berusia 20 – 30 tahun dengan gaya hidup modern.

Dengan harga yang sedikit lebih murah dari generasi sebelumnmya, yakni Rp 19,5 juta untuk tipe CW dan Rp 18,3 untuk tipe SW, New Mega Pro tetap mengusung beberapa fitur terkini seperti suspensi monoshock, dual discbrake serta panel indikator yang sporty.

Berbekal tampilan begaya artis Bollywood dengan berbagai fitur unggulan yang ditawarkan Honda New Mega pro, PT AHM yakin bahwa motor sport terbaru mereka mampu terjual sebanyak 15.000 unit perbulan.
