Pernahkan bro en sis perhatikan nyala lampu utama Yamaha V-ixion saat menyala bersamaan dengan lampu sign atau klakson, baik saat kondisi mesin mati atau pun menyala? Jika diperhatikan, lampu utama akan terlihat sedikit berkedip-kedip seperti aliran listriknya tak stabil. Tak hanya itu, gangguan kecil juga terjadi pada jarum rpm yang bergerak naik turun.
Kejanggalan kecil ini terjadi karena terganggunya pasokan listrik dari accu menuju komponen-komponen tersebut. Jika hal ini dibiarkan berlangsung terus menerus dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama, maka tak menutup kemungkinan akan berakibat buruk untuk komponen motor itu sendiri. Bahkan hal ini juga dapat merusak sepul dan kiprok.
Menurut Afandi dari bengkel Afandi Motor Sport (AFmoS) di Plaza Nagari Pakubuwono / PAMOR Blok C No.22, Jl. Kyai Maja No.63 Jakarta Selatan, hal tersebut sebenarnya bisa diakali dengan cara mengurai rangkaian kabel yang menuju lampu utama dari accu.
“Sebenarnya beban ampere yang dibutuhkan lampu utama untuk menyala itu berpengaruh pada kinerja fuel pump, karena pasokan listriknya terganggu saat lampu utama dan komponen lain menyala. Kalau kerja fuel pump terganggu, maka dipastikan kinerja mesin juga tidak didapat secara maksimal”, ungkap Affandi.
Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, Afandi punya cara tersendiri. Kabel lampu utama yang awalnya tersambung dengan kabel body, harus diurai terlebih dahulu. Dengan kata lain, kabel lampu utama dipisah dari kabel bodi. Lantas kabel tersebut langsung dihubungkan ke accu dengan penambahan relay yang terhubung ke swich dan accu.
“Dengan sistem pengkabelan langsung dari Accu, kinerja kelistrikan tidak akan mengganggu ke komponen lain termasuk fuel pump. Jika fuel pump dapat bekerja maksimal, maka kinerja mesin dan komponen lain akan bekerja dengan baik,” pungsak Fandi.
