AHM Lanjutkan HRS Tahap III
GilaMotor, JAKARTA. – PT. Astra Honda Motor (AHM) kembali melanjutkan program untuk mencetak pembalap muda masa depan melalui Honda Racing School (HRS) tahap ketiga.
Sebanyak 11 calon pembalap professional melakukan pelatihan di sirkuit PARK Kenjeran, Surabaya, akhir pekan kemarin.
Setelah seleksi tahap I dan II dan pemberian materi riding skill di Sirkuit Sentul Kecil, Bogor, Jawa Barat beberapa waktu lalu, pada tahap III ini HRS memfokuskan pada peningkatan riding skill, fisik, mental dan way of thinking.
“Riding skill tetap ada pada tahap ketiga ini, namun secara keseluruhan titik tekannya lebih pada fisik, mental dan way of thinking. Secara keseluruhan, empat hal ini menjadi sasaran pembinaan HRS 2010,” ungkap Agustinus Indraputra, General Manager Marketing Planning and Analysis Division AHM, dalam keterangan persnya Minggu (21/11).
Sementara itu, Anggono Iriawan selaku Manager Safety Riding & Motor Sport Departement AHM mengungkapkan bahwa tahap III HRS di Surabaya diikuti oleh 11 siswa yang merupakan hasil seleksi tahap I dan II.
“Jika pada tahap I ada 20 orang, tahap II berkurang jadi 16 orang, dan pada tahap terakhir ini hanya diikuti 11 orang. Ini merupakan hasil dari seleksi dan analisa perkembangan berbagai aspek di tahap sebelumnya,†paparnya.
Ke-11 siswa balap yang dilatih pada tahap III HRS ini adalah Tommy Salim, Gerry Laurent (Surabaya), Rizky Saputra (Subang) dan Andi Faryd (Makassar), Ayatullah M. Ro’jan (Jakarta), Johntra William (Pontianak), Dedi Kurniawan (Karawang), M. Iqsal D.(Bogor), Yogha Dio (Jakarta), Reynaldi Pradhana (Jakarta), Prasetyanto Hitachi (Bandung).
Berkat pembinaan yang dilakukan Noboru Ueda yang dibantu mentor lokal, Ahmad Jayadi dan Wawan Hermawan, terlihat peningkatan torehan catatan waktu yang cukup meyakinkan. 11 siswa ini mampu meraih catatan waktu rata-rata di rentang 43-44 detik di serkuit tersebut dengan Honda Blade standar.
Menurut Anggono, tambahan pengetahuan teknik racing line, different point, titik braking, titik rebah serta teknik buka tutup throttle yang diperagakan langsung oleh Noboru Ueda, membuat perkembangan skill perserta cukup pesat.
Anggono menambahkan, tahun depan tahapan dan sirkuit untuk pelaksanaan program HRS ini akan ditambah. “Kami akan konsisten melakukannya karena ini merupakan bagian dari usaha Honda mendidik dan menciptakan pembalap masa depan yang bisa menuju ke jenjang international,” tegasnya.
