Seperti dilansir autoevolution.com, fakta ini hadir dari Ducatinewstoday yang menjelaskan bahwa pabrikan yang berbasis di Bologna ini tengah mempersiapkan sebuah skuter maxi.
Menurut sumber tersebut, beberapa waktu lalu dalam sebuah wawancara dengan Direktur Pemasaran Ducati, Diego Sgorbati, bahwa Ducati sedang mempertimbangkan untuk merambah ke segmen skuter.
“Ducati akan melihat ke beberapa segmen motor, skuter, custom, enduro dan off-road. Ini adalah ekspansi yang normal,” ungkap Sgorbati pada Motoblog.it beberapa waktu lalu.
Hal ini juga dipekuat oleh pernyataan Warren Lee, importir resmi Ducati di Australia yang mengatakan bahwa, “Ducati akan melihat di segmen skuter berperforma tinggi, bukan skuter 50 cc. Mungkin setelah 2010.”
Lee juga mengatakan bahwa Ducati tidak akan mengesampingkan mesin listrik. Namun Lee juga mengatakan bahwa belum ada kepastian tentang semuanya.
