Komunitas Supermoto Luncurkan SMOG

GILAMOTOR.com, Jakarta. – Bersamaan dengan gelaran Otobursa Tumplek Blek 2011, para pecinta Supermoto tanah air secara resmi meluncurkan Supermoto Owner Group (SMOG), Sabtu (21/5) di Jakarta.

Berdirinya SMOG, diharapkan bisa menjadi tonggak perkembangan supermoto di Indonesia. Keberadaannya sendiri diproyeksikan sebagai wadah komunikasi para komunitas dan pecinta supermoto yang tersebar di berbagai wilayah tanah air.

“Saat ini komunitas supermoto semakin banyak dan minat masyarakat otomotif terhadap motor dual purpose ini semakin tinggi. Karena itu, kami harapkan dengan hadirnya SMOG mampu menjadi wadah komunikasi semua komunitas supermoto di tanah air,” jelas Mario, Ketua GMOG.

Lebih jauh Mario menjelaskan, berdirinya SMOG bukan berarti segala peraturan baku layaknya sebuah klub motor diberlakukan, tapi SMOG hanya menjadi payung bagi semua komunitas supermoto. “Kami tidak membuat peraturan yang kaku seperti wajib ini dan itu. Kami terbuka kepada semua kalangan pecinta supermoto,” kata Mario.

“Untuk bergabung dalam komunitas ini, syaratnya hanya satu yakni punya supermoto. Entah itu supermoto bawaan pabrik atau supermoto hasil modifikasi dari berbagai motor seperti Tiger, Scorpio dan lainnya. Tapi bagi yang tidak punya supermoto dan ingin tau lebih jauh tentang supermoto, kami sangat terbuka,” tambahnya.

Dalam peresmian berdirinya Supermoto Owner Group yang sekaligus menjadi hari lahirnya SMOG pada 21 Mei 2011, dihadiri oleh perwakilan komunitas supermoto dari berbagai wilayah. Sebut saja Caos Supermoto Owner, SMOG Jakarta, SMOG Sukabumi, SMOG Sumedang, SMOG NTT, Stang Lebar Medan, SMART Makassar dan LOWO dari komunitas supermoto Jakarta dan Jogya.

Layaknya sebuah perayaan peluncuran dan rasa syukur, komunitas ini menggelar doa bersama yang dilanjutkan dengan pemotongan tumpeng dan kambing guling.
