GILAMOTOR.com, Jakarta. – Kabar mengejutkan datang dari PT Yamaha Motor Kencana Indonesia (YMKI). GM Promotion and Motorsport Division, Paulus S. Firmanto menyatakan mundur dari jabatannya per 9 Mei 2011.
Melalui pesan singkat kepada GilaMotor.com, lelaki yang akrab dengan media ini menyampaikan permintaan maaf yang besar atas kesalahan dan kekurangannya selama bekerja di Yamaha. Tak ada alasan yang jelas mengapa dirinya meninggalkan Yamaha.
“Ya, hari ini (9/5) hari terakhir saya bekerja di Yamaha. Untuk sementara saya akan beristirahat, mengisi hari bersama keluarga dan selanjutnya saya akan kembali bekerja di sebuah perusahaan roda dua lainnya,†terangnya ketika dihubungi GilaMotor.com.
Ketika ditanya ke perusahan roda dua mana dirinya akan singgah, dia enggan menjelaskan secara rinci. Yang pasti, kata dia, nanti akan bertemu lagi. “Dimana saya akan bekerja? Nanti saja yah, pasti saya kabarkan jika sudah waktunya,†elaknya.
Paulus S. Firmanto telah berkarir di Yamaha lebih dari 17 tahun. Berbagai jabatan telah dilalui hingga akhirnya dia dipercaya sebagai General Manager Promotion and Motorsport Division meneruskan langkah Bambang Asmarabudi pada 2010 lalu. Dikabarkan, posisi itu akan diisi oleh Eko Prabowo yang kini menjabat sebagai Wakil GM Promotion and Motorsport Division.
Dan kini dia akan memulai karir dan tantangan baru di perusahaan baru.
