Kenny Robert : Lorenzo si Bulldog Kecil

GILAMOTOR.com. – Casey Stoner berhasil mempecundangi Jorge Lorenzo di Laguna Seca dengan meraih kemenangan setelah melewati Lorenzo di 6 putaran menjelang finish. Menurut Robert, masih ada 8 seri kedepan bagi Lorenzo untuk menjadi juara dunia. “Sekali dia menancapkan giginya pada sesuatu, dia tak akan mebiarkannya pergi,” tutur Robert seperti ditulis Crashnet mengutuip dari Routers.

“Dia seperti seekor bulldog yang mendekap pergelangan kaki Anda. Mereka (pebalap) akan memiliki waktu yang sulit untuk meraih kejuaraan dari nya karena dia cukup keras kepala.”

Sebelumnya Lorenzo sempat mendatangi ranch milik Robert untuk mencoba dan meningkatkan gaya berkendara, khususnya di lintasan basah dengan memanfaatkan lintasan motor trail.

“Jorge memiliki potensi yang besar,” terang lelaki 59 tahun ini. “Dia pernah mengunjungi ranch ku, 3 tahun lalu aku rasa, latihan seperti cara latihan Wayne [Rainey] dan cara latihan semua orang untuk berlatih di motor trail.”

“Aku bicara pada Jorge di Los Angeles dan dia ingin kembali ke ranch ku dan melakukannya lagi. Jadi aku melihat di dirinya ada beberapa kesamaan dengan ku. Gaya berkendara yang kami guakan masih bekerja untuk orang-orang ini, dan untuk Jorge mungkin lebih dari orang muda kebanyakan.”

“Ketika kami bekerja dengan nya, dia adalah bulldog kecil,” tegas Robert.
