GILAMOTOR.com. – Nyaris kegencet truk. Peristiwa setengah tahun lalu itu membuat pemuda yang bekerja di Permodalan Nasional Madani ini harus penuh perhitungan setiap akan melewati kendaraan di depan, khususnya mobil-mobil bertubuh besar.

Lelaki kelahiran Jogyakarta, 29 tahun silam, sehari-hari memang lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu di jalan raya. Pasalnya, profesi sebagai penagih pinjaman dana usaha mikro membuatnya harus menyusuri jalan dari kawasan Cibinong hingga Lido untuk mengambil uang tagihan.

“Peristiwa itu terjadi saat gw kembali dari Lido, kebetulan jalan di kawasan itu banyak dilintasi mobil-mobil pengangkut air mineral dari kawasan Sukabumi,” cerita dia.

Lebih jauh Yudi menceritakan, saat dirinya berusaha melewati truk besar pengangkut air mineral dari sisi kanan, ternyata truk tersebut bergeser ke kanan jalan untuk menghindari pemotor yang berjalan berlawanan arah di sisi kiri jalan. Beruntung jalan dua arah itu dalam keadaan sepi, sehingga hanya membuatnya ke luar sisi jalan raya.

“Waktu itu gw sudah melewati setengah badan truk itu, tapi tiba-tiba truk itu bergeser ke kanan hingga memakan badan jalan untuk arah sebaliknya, dan gw mau gak mau ikut bergeser ke kanan hingga keluar jalan raya karena jaraknya mepet banget sama gw. Beruntung arah sebelahnya dalam keadaan sepi jadi gw bisa menyebrang jalan itu dengan selamat, hanya masuk ke jalan gravel,” tutur lelaki yang sudah menetap di Bogor sejak usia 2 tahun.

“Sempet shock sih, gemeteran dan jantung dag dig dug gak karuan. Untung hanya masuk ke jalur gravel dan gak sampe kegencet truk,” tambahnya.

Semenjak kejadian itu, dia mengaku jadi lebih hati-hati di jalan raya terutama saat akan melewati kendaraan di depan. Perhitungan yang matang dan hindari jalur blind spot juga menjadi faktor terpenting untuk melewati kendaraan di depan.

Insiden itu mengingatkan lelaki yang akrab disapa Pak Lurah oleh Komunitas GilaMotor chapter Depok – Bogor (Dhe-Boer) pada kecelakaan antara pemotor dan truk yang menewaskan pemotor. Hal itu pula yang membuat nya jadi makin sadar akan pentingnya berperilaku aman dan selalu waspada di jalan raya. Selain itu, perlengkapan berkendara seperti helm, jaket, sarung tangan dan sepatu, juga menjadi komponen penting dalam berkendara.
