Yamaha : Lorenzo Harus Menang di Indianapolis

GILAMOTOR.com. – Untuk mempertahankan gelar juara dunianya di 2011, Lorenzo harus menang di sisa musim balap 2011 ini termasuk di MotoGP Indianapolis pada 28 Agustus besok mengingat selisih poin nya dengan Stoner mulai menjauh. Target ini diungkapkan Manager Tim Yamaha, Wilco Zeelenberg.

Lorenzo yang baru mengantongi dua kemenangan selama musim MotoGP 2011, tertinggal 32 poin dari pemenang posisi pertama klasemen sementara, Casey Stoner, yang sudah mengantongi enam kemenangan.

Zeelenberg mengungkapkan, tinggal 7 seri yang tersisa dan ini harus digunakan untuk memangkas selisih poin sesegera mungkin.

“Jika kita ingin meraih kembali gelar juara dunia, kami butuh kemenangan di tiap balapan dan mulai memukul dominasi Stoner. Ini akan menjadi sebuah tantangan yang besar, tapi kami siap untuk itu,” ungkap Zeelenberg.

Lorenzo pernah menang di Indianapolis dua tahun lalu dan diyakini karakter sirkuit ini sangat cocok dengan Yamaha yang memiliki handling sasis terbaik di MotoGP.

“Indy adalah trek yang sangat aku nikmati. Aku memiliki momen yang luarbiasa seperti meraih podium di 2008 dan 2010 serta kemenangan ku di 2009 saat menggunakan helm Captain America,” tutur Spaniard.

“Saat ini aku dalam kondisi baik dan siap untuk meraih kembali milik kami yang hilang di Brno, di mana sebuah kesalahan membuat jarak antara Casey dan aku. Aku berharap energi baik yang aku rasakan di trek ini akan akan membantu kami untuk bertarung memeperebutkan gelar. Aku tak sabar untuk kembali ke US dan mengendarai M1 ku.”
