Michelin Luncurkan 3 Varian Ban Motor Premium

GILAMOTOR.com, Jakarta. – Gemuknya pasar sepeda motor di Indonesia kian hari kian menggiurkan, tak terkecuali bagi pelaku bisnis komponen pendukung kendaraan roda dua itu. Bahkan, produsen ban kenamaan asal Eropa, Michelin, pun mulai memasarkan produknya di Indonesia dengan meluncurkan 3 varian ban motor sekaligus.

Melalui importir dan distributor tunggal ban Michelin di Indonesia, PT Michelindo Mitra Abadi (MMA), 3 varian ban terbaru mereka menyasar segmen motor sport, bebek dan skutik.

Di segmen motor sport, Michelin melepas varian Pilot Sporty yang didesain untuk dragbike dan sport. Di segmen motor bebek, Michelin menyediakan varian M85 dan untuk varian M29S untuk motor skutik.

Jemmy Tantoro, Managing Director PT MMA mengatakan, pasar motor Indonesia merupakan pasar ke 3 terbesar di dunia. Karena itu, menurutynya, penjualan ban motor akan selalu berbanding lurus dengan penjualan sepeda motor yang tahun 2011 ini direncanakan akan mencapai lebih dari 7 juta unit.

Lebih jauh Jemmy mengatakan, dari hasil survey pasar di Indonesia, orang Indonesia lebih suka mempercantik dan memodifikasi motor, sangat suka dengan dunia balap motor dan suka dengan produk-produk dari brand terkenal dengan kualitas premium. “Hal itulah yang menjadi alasan kami meluncurkan ban untuk kategori sepeda motor di Indonesia,” tutur Jemmy.

Michelin mengklaim, selain dari alur atau kembangan yang mengadopsi desain ban motor besar, ban yang diproduksi oleh perusahaan asal Perancis ini juga memiliki keunggulan daya cengkram yang istimewa, baik di permukaan jalan kering atau basah. Sehingga ban Michelin cocok digunakan di segala cuaca.

Michelin menyediakan beragam ukuran untuk semua varian dengan bandrol harga yang cukup kompetitif, mulai dari Rp 200 ribu hingga Rp 600 ribu per unit.

Di tahun 2012, Michelin menargetkan penjualannya mencapai 400 ribu unit. Untuk merealisasikan target penjualan tersebut, PT MMA akan menambah jumlah distributor sebanyak 28-30 distributor baru di seluruh Indonesia. “Saat ini jumlah distributor kami baru mencapai 10 distributor yang tersebar di berbagai kota besar di Indonesia,” pungkas Jemmy.
