Andra Pradipta Ketularan Array Akrapovic

GILAMOTOR.com, Surabaya. – Bro en Sis tentu pernah baca atau mungkin kenal dengan Gilmoter asal Kota Kembang, Bandung, Arie Setiabudi atau yang lebih dikenal dengan Array Akrapovic. Pemuda kelahiran Palembang tahun 1987 dengan gaya biacara yang kental logat Sunda ini berhasil meracuni Gilmoters lain dengan hobinya, Cornering.

Andra, Gilmoter asal Surabaya dengan nick name Adinandra di forum Gilamotor adalah salah satu korbannya. Jika Array terpengaruh oleh riding style pebalap MotoGP Ben Spies, Andra justru mengakui kalau dia terinspirasi dari Array Akrapovic.

“Tepat setelah membaca artikel tentang Array, aku langsung cari tahu tentang komunitas Cornering Indonesia. Tapi pas dapat dan membaca tulisan-tulisan di forum itu aku justeru merasa minder, soalnya isi tulisannya seperti obrolan orang-orang yang sudah jago cornering, apalagi lokasinya di Jawa Barat, jauh banget dari Surabaya,” aku Gilmoter pemilik nama lengkap Pradipta Surya Dinandra.

Karena masih penasaran, dia langsung tanya ke Mbah Google apakah ada komunitas Cornering Indonesia di Surabaya. Dengan petunjuk Mbah Google, Andra akhirnya menemukan komunitas Cornering Indonesia (Surabaya) di facebook dan dia pun bergabung di dalam komunitas Cornering Indonesia chapter Surabaya yang sering latihan di sirkuit Kenjeran.

“Karena sudah cukup lama suka belok sampai miring di jalanan, makanya pertama latihan di sirkuit PARK Kenjeran nggak terlalu kaget, tapi waktu itu lagi sepi yang datang, jadi nggak bisa belajar banyak dari yang lain. Eh, tapi latihan pertama itu jaket sama sarung tangan aja boleh minjem,” ceritanya sambil cengar-cengir.

Latihan ke dua di tempat yang sama kedatangan tamu dari Cornering Indonesia chapter Malang. Kali ini, aku Andra, bisa belajar lebih banyak anggotanya yang sudah berpengalaman. Dan pada latihan ke tiga di tempat yang sama juga, Andra mulai bisa mengendalikan motornya saat menikung dengan kecepatan tinggi.

“Pertama aku kira cornering itu adalah kneedown, ternyata bukan. Cornering yang dimaksud yaitu lebih ke penguasaan motor khususnya saat menghadapi tikungan, dan kneedown hanyalah bagian kecil dari teknik yang kadang digunakan. Kneedown sendiri tak harus dilakukan di setiap tikungan. Kang Adie dari Bandung pernah bilang, kalau tegak aja bisa, ngapain harus miring,” katanya.

Lebih jauh Andra menjelaskan, “Kalau melihat pada perkembangan kehidupan rider di luar negeri yang lebih teratur di mana berkendara dijadikan bagian dari kurikulum pendidikan, adanya tahapan-tahapan dalam kepemilikan SIM, dan hal lain yang menunjukan adanya perhatian lebih akan pentingnya pemahaman cara berkendara dengan benar, komunitas cornering itu merasa merasa masih banyak yang harus dibenahi dengan cara berkendara kita yang cendrung seadanya. Melalui forum Cornering ini jadi salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berkendara dan peningkitan kesadaran pentingnya keselamatan berkendara,”

“Terlihat jelas bahwa mereka bukan sekedar orang-orang yang suka ngebut di tikungan, tapi lebih ke safety riding khususnya saat menghadapi tikungan. Tujuannya pun mulia, untuk mengkampanyekan keselamatan berkendara dimulai dari para anggotanya sendiri dengan cara yang paling mendasar, mengenali, menguasai, dan mengendalikan motor yang sedang dikendarai,” katanya lagi.

“Oh iya, ada yang lupa. Cornering ngga hanya di jalan aspal, tapi kita juga harus tahu cara belok di jalanan ‘off road’ yang jauh berbeda dari aspal. Jadi cornering bukan cuma miringin motor di jalanan,” tutup Andra.
