Kalau Stoner Pensiun, HRC Incar Lorenzo

GILAMOTOR.com. – Pebalap Honda Casey Stoner, dikabarkan akan pensiun dari MotoGP.

Peraih dua kali juara dunia yang baru saja menjadi seorang ayah, merasa lelah dengan kehidupan selama musim MotoGP dan merasa seperti tahahan.

Dikabarkan, keputusan itu diambil karena pebalap asal Australia itu ingin kembali ke kampung halamannya untuk menjalani kehidupan tenang bersama keluarga.

Dari laman Visordown mengutip dari Solo Moto, Honda sangat ingin Stoner menandatangani kontrak baru dengan perpanjangan dua tahun ke depan. Tapi Stoner lebih memilih perpanjangan kontrak satu tahun saja dengan alasan dia ingin segera pensiun.

Dalam wawancara dengan GPOne, Livio Suppo mengatakan bahwa mereka memberikan ruang pada Stoner sebelum memulai negosiasi resmi. Tapi jika suami dari Adirana itu tidak menandatangani kontrak tersebut, maka HRC akan mengejar pebalap asal Spanyol, Jorge Lorenzo, yang menjadi salah satu pebalap tercepat dunia.
