Salah Baut, Ducati Recall Panigale

GILAMOTOR.com, Los Angeles. – Terindikasi penggunaan baut yang tidak standar pada suspensi belakang, Ducati pun harus recall 375 unit Ducari 1199 Panigale produksi tahun 2012 di Amerika.

Lembaga keselamatan jalan Amerika Serikat (NHTSA) melaporkan 375 unit Panigale produksi 2012 terindikasi menggunakan baut pengikat suspensi dan lengan ayun yang berbeda dari standarnya.

Selain kepala baut yang berbeda dari standarnya, ukuran panjang pun berbeda, hanya 46 mm sementara ukuran seharusnya adalah 55 mm.

Perbedaan ukuran baut ini berpotensi  menimbulkan kecelakaan karena sambungan supensi dengan  lengan ayun bisa lebih mudah putus.

Karena itu, seluruh varian Panigale termasuk tipe S dan S Tricolore, harus ditarik kembali untuk dilakukan perbaikan.

Kendati dikatakan kesalahan penggunaan baut tidak standar hanya 1 persen dari total Panigale yang terjual di AS, tapi langkah perbaikan dan pemeriksaan harus dilakukan. Dan penggantian baut yang tidak standar itu dilakukan secara gratis.
