Bridgestone Investigasi Rusaknya Ban di MotoGP Assen

GILAMOTOR.com. – Pemasok ban MotoGP Bridgestone akan melakukan penyelidikan untuk mengetahui alasan mengapa dan motor Valentino Rossi dan Ben Spies terkelupas sehingga kedua pebalap itu tampil buruk.

Rossi terpaksa masuk pit untuk mengganti ban setelah sebagian kulit luar ban motornya terkelupas. Begitu juga Spies, yang akhirnya kehilangan peluangnya untuk berdiri di podium MotoGP Assen.

“Sebuah potongan keluar dari ban dan kemudian potongan kedua, aku tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa. Aku berharap Dovi akan bisa melewati ku karena aku khawatir ban akan meledak dan aku tidak ingin jatuh tepat di depan dia, ” kata pebalap Texas itu.

Potongan keluar dari bahu kanan ban belakang sehingga membentuk seperti lubang kawah. Hal ini juga terjadi pada pebalap Pramac Ducati Hector Barbera. Semua ini terjadi hanya satu pertemuan setelah Casey Stoner mengecam pemasok ban itu karena kinerja ban di Silverstone menghilang setelah lima lap.

“Sayangnya beberapa pengendara mengalami masalah dengan ban belakang mereka dan kami dengan tulus meminta maaf kepada mereka yang terkena dampaknya. Kami telah memulai penyelidikan penuh masalah ini dan saya pribadi akan mengambil ban itu kembali ke Pusat Teknis Bridgestone di Jepang di mana mereka akan menjalani analisis rinci untuk menentukan penyebab dari masalah ini,” kata Shinichi Yamashita dari Bridgestone.
