Baterai yang menjadi sumber tenaga penggerak mesinnya memiliki daya 8 kWh. Baterainya dapat terisi penuh 100 persen dalam tiga jam pengisian. Namun untuk pengisian cepat, hanya butuh waktu tiga puluh menit saja dan baterai terisi sebanyak 70 persen. Skuter BMW ini dibekali sistem penggerak elektrik yang mengesankan, melalui drivetrain swing arm dengan alternator berpendingin cairan, tooth belt dan planetary gear dengan luaran tenaga diklaim mencapai 15 hp hingga 46,9 hp.
