Marquez Hanya Tertinggal 1.1 Detik Dari Pedrosa

GILAMOTOR.com. – Setelah sempat tertunda menjajal mesin Honda 1000 cc karena cuaca buruk di Valencia, Marc Marquez akhirnya punya kesempatan menjajal mesin Honda RC213V di hari kedua.

Dalam 27 putaran di aksi perdananya di atas RC213V, juara dunia Moto2 2012 ini merasa banyak hal berbeda dengan tunggangannya saat membalap di Moto2.

Setelah lintasan kering bekas diguyur hujan di pagi hari, pembalap Spanyol itu berhasil mencatatkan waktu terbaiknya dengan 1 menit 34.911 detik.

Setelah masuk paddock dan kembali ke sirkuit, Marquez berhasil memangkas catatan waktu tercepat pertamanya. Setelah menyelesaikan 28 putaran, dia berhasil mencatatkan waktu terbaiknya dengan 1 menit 33.403 detik. Hasil itu masih tertinggal 1.1 detik dari rekor lap Pedrosa.

Sebuah permulaan yang baik bagi Marquez, meskipun dia mengaku masih perlu beradaptasi dengan motor MotoGP sesuai gaya balapnya.

“Aku merasa sangat senang. Kami menunggu sampai lintasan kering sepanjang hari sehingga akhirnya kami bisa mencoba motor,! Namun butuh waktu yang lama. Pada akhirnya aku mulai tidak sabar dan lintasan mulai mengering jadi kami putuskan untuk mengetes motor.”

“Pada awalnya cukup sulit tapi sangat menyenangkan untuk merasakan tenaga motor itu! Motor ku sering wheelie pada trek lurus tapi perlahan aku mulai mendapatkan kepercayaan dan bisa semakin cepat dan cepat setiap putaran,” aku Marquez.

“Aku berusaha beradaptasi dengan gaya berkendara ku dari Moto2 karena ada perbedaan besar. Ada banyak hal yang harus ditingkatkan dan dicoba, ban depan sangat berbeda dengan apa yang biasa aku gunakan tapi hal utama adalah bahwa kami punya permulaan yang bagus dan aku punya perasaan yang baik dengan tim.”

Marquez akan mendapat kesempatan kembali untuk menjajal motor prototype Honda tersebut pada 26, 27 dan 28 November pada test privat di Sepang, Malaysia.
