Kawasaki Mau Balik Ke MotoGP?

GILAMOTOR.com. – Selain berita Suzuki yang sedang blusukan menggali informasi tentang perangkat elektronik sebelum kembali ke MotoGP karena jelas tertinggal dari Honda, Yamaha dan Ducati setelah istirahat dari MotoGP, kini kabar baru datang dari “geng hijau” Kawasaki. Rumor Kawasaki punya rencana kembali ke MotoGP datang setelah pemilik tim NGM Forword Racing, Cazuri, mengeluarkan pernyataan kalau pihaknya sudah berbicara dengan bos sekaligus insinyur Kawasaki, Ichiro Yoda. “Aku telah berbicara dengan Ichiro Yoda dan mereka tertarik,” ucap Cuzari.

Kawasaki dan Forword memang punya sejarah manis. 2009 mereka berkerjasama di bawah bendera Hayate dengan pembalapnya Marco Melandri. Bahkan Kawasaki bisa meraih podium di Le Mans.

Kabar rencana kembalinya Kawasaki ke MotoGP jelas mengejutkan. Masalahnya, ujug-ujug Kawasaki punya niat kembali ke MotoGP setelah mundur diri dari MotoGP tahun 2009 lalu dan namanya terus memudar di MotoGP. Beda dengan Suzuki yang memang sejak awal bilang kalau mereka akan kembali setelah krisis financial mereka kembali pulih. Dan 2014 adalah tahun yang dipilih.

Jelas ini kabar bagus jika Kawasaki benar-benar punya niatan kembali ke MotoGP. Jadi ke depan, nggak cuma lihat persaingan Honda, Yamaha dan Ducati saja, tapi ada Suzuki dan Kawasaki yang ikut bertarung.

Tapi ada masalah besar yang harus dihadapi Kawasaki kalau mau kembali ke MotoGP, yaitu masalah yang sama saat mereka mundur dari MotoGP, biaya yang super duper mahal setelah balapan dengan mesin dua tak diubah menjadi empat tak. Apa lagi masalah elektroniknya. Saolnya komponen ini jadi dasar utama peningkatan performa.

Jadi Yoda berharap ada perubahan regulasi di musim 2014 biar lebih adil dan biaya balap tidak terus meningkat dan semua tim bisa bersaing. Kalau Kawasaki kembali ke MotoGP, bisa dipastikan Forword akan jadi mitra abadinya.
