Yamaha Tak Mau Lama Di Austin Yang Penting Jorge Dan Vale Kenal Karakter Austin

GILAMOTOR.com. – Yamaha mungkin nggak bakal tinggal lebih lama di sirkuit Austin dalam tes pribadi yang rencananya akan berlangsung dari tanggal 12-14 Maret besok. Memang diakui Yamaha kalau kedatangan mereka ke sirkuit baru di Texas itu sangat tepat, tapi kemungkinan mereka akan lebih dulu cabcuss dari Austin ketimbang Honda. Yamaha mengakui nggak perlu nyari data sampai tiga hari tes. Sepertinya, yang terpenting bisa ngintip performa Honda di sirkuit baru tersebut dan bisa sedikit mengenal karakter sirkuit tersebut.

“Ide yang sangat bagus datang ke sirkuit ini. Treknya sangat sulit untuk dipelajari, saya pikir ini sangat spesial,” ucap team director Massimo Meregalli. Dua pembalap Yamaha Jorge Lorenzo dan Valentino Rossi ada di posisi ketiga dan lima dalam tes hari pertama kemarin.

“Kami bekerja keras untuk mendapatkan seting dasar tapi point terpenting adalah para pembalap bisa mengenal karakter sirkuit itu. Kami memulai dengan setingan dasar kami saat di Sepang dan kami akan modifikasi untuk sirkuit ini,” tambah Meregalli.

Jadi cukup sedikit tau karakter Austin untuk kemudian mengembangkan setingan dasar yang sudah didapat selama tes resmi di Sepang lalu. “Kami akan melanjutkan pekerjaan sampai besok malam. Jika kami bisa mengumpulkan semua informasi yang dibutuhkan maka kami tak mau tinggal di sini sampai Kamis.”

Seluruh tim akan kembali mengikuti tes resmi terakhir di Jerez pada 23-25 Maret nanti sebelum balapan resmi dimulai pada 7 April nanti di Losail Qatar. Dan Austin akan jadi tuan rumah di seri kedua MotoGP pada 21 April 2013.
