Adet Vriono : Jadi Pengusaha Gara-Gara Suka Turing Dengan Motor

GILAMOTOR.com. – Bro en sis pasti pernah dengar atau melihat apparel berlebel 7 Gear. Tapi bisa dipastikan banyak dari bro en sis semua tidak tahu siapa orang di balik brand 7 Gear tersebut. Dia adalah Adit Priyono atau lebih dikenal dengan Adet Vriono. Lelaki kelahiran Kota Kembang, Badung, 30 tahun silam ini juga sorang biker yang gemar turing.

Bergabung di komunitas Honda Tiger Mailing List (HTML) tahun 2002, Adet mulai mengenal dunia biker. Saat ini pun dia masih tercatat sebagai anggota Bundung Thunder Club (BTC) meski sudah kurang aktif.  Dia mengakui kalau dirinya bukan biker sungguhan, karena kecintaannya pada motor hanya sebatas suka turing dengan motor. Setelah 3 tahun bergabung dan mengenal dunia komunitas motor, dia mulai melihat sebuah peluang usaha untuk dijadikan pendatan tambahan. “Tahun 2005 aku mulai berbisnis dengan menjual kaos untuk bikers. Awalnya hanya mencoba cari tambahan uang saja, tapi rupanya sambutan teman-teman bikers sangat bagus,” cerita Adet.

Mendapat sambutan bagus, Adet mulai berani melebarkan jangkauan pasarnya. Setelah mengenal beragam jenis kain untuk membuat kaos, dia mulai menyediakan kaos untuk kebutuhan beragam acara seperti kampanye, family gathering dan beragam acara serupa. “Aku menawarkan ke konsumen, lalu pesanan mereka aku order lagi ke orang lain yang memang punya konveksi,” kata Adet. “Berjalan waktu, persaingan bisnis kaos semakin keras karena banyak pemain baru. Akhirnya aku alihkan ke bisnis tas.” Hasil bisnisnya dirasa membantu kebutuhan financial keluarganya sekaligus bisa mendukung hobinya plesiran dengan sepeda motor. “Lumayan, jadi punya pasif income dari bisnis itu.”

Selama melakukan turing, Adet selalu membeli apparel dari brand luar dengan harga yang lumayan mahal. Hingga akhirnya segala apparel yang pernah dia beli mengusik pikirannya, “Kenapa barang ini bisa dijual mahal? Apa iya orang Indonesia tidak bisa bikin produk serupa dengan harga yang lebih murah?“ Dari situ muncul keinginan untuk membuat apparel buat para bikers. “Tahun 2006 aku ikut acara Safety Riding Course di Mako Brimob. Instrukturnya bilang kalau kita harus mengenakan 7 perlengkapan utama selama riding di antaranya jaket, helm, sepatu, sarung tangan dan protector. Lalu muncul ide untuk membuat perlengkapan itu dengan nama 7 gear. Dan tahun 2007 bisnis ku merambah ke dunia apparel.”

Berjalan waktu, penghasilannya dari bisnis yang dilakoninya malah lebih besar dari gajinya sebagai pegawai di sebuah perusahaan BUMN. Dan tahun 2010 pun dia resmi menanggalkan status pegawai dan memfokuskan diri menjadi pengusaha. “Bersamaan dengan itu aku bikin work shop dan bikin perusahaan berbadan hukum dengan nama PT Kelana Pradipta yang membawahi brand 7 Gear,” beber Adet.

Produknya kini telah tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Dan tidak jarang ada pesanan dari luar Indonesia seperti Malaysia dan Singapura. Di Indonesia, 7 Gear telah memiliki lebih dari 20 reseller atau agen yang menjual produknya.

Kecintaannya pada sepeda motor kini mengubah hidupnya. Dari hanya sebagai pegawai biasa menjadi seorang pengusaha.
