Marquez Butuh Dua Balapan Untuk Menang, Apakah MotoGP Lebih Mudah Dari Moto2?

GILAMOTOR.com. – Di Austin, Honda melenggang di depan tanpa ada perlawanan berarti dari rival-rivalnya khususnya Yamaha. Rookie Marc Marquez, berhasil memenangkan balapan sekaligus mematahkan rekor yang tak terpecahkan selama 31 tahun dari tangan Freddie Spencer sebagai pembalap termuda di podium pertama sepanjang sejarah.

Seri berikut, balapan akan menuju ke Eropa, ke Sirkuit Jerez, di mana karakter sikuitnya cocok dengan karakter Yamaha. Lorenzo dan Rossi pun menyatakan bahwa balapan di Jerez tentunya akan berbeda karena sirkuitnya sangat cocok dengan M1.

Marquez pun mengakui hal itu. Di Eropa, balapan akan lebih sulit ketimbang dua seri sebelumnya, Losail dan Austin. “Sejak pertama datang ke MotoGP semua berjalan dengan lancar dan dengan kemenangan pertama ini membuat kepercayaan diri ku lebih baik,” ucap Marquez. “Tapi kita tidak boleh lengah karena ini musim pertama ku dan mulai saat ini semua akan menjadi lebih sulit.”

Sebelum balapan, para pengamat memprediksi bahwa Dani Pedrosa akan memenangkan balapan di Austin. Tapi faktanya berkata lain. Juaranya adalah Alien Marquez yang lama mempelajari gaya balap Pedrosa di posisi kedua sebelum akhirnya mengambil alih posisi terdepan. “Di Qatar aku bnyak belajar dari gaya balap Pedrosa,” ucapnya “Kemarin aku terus memperhatikan cara berkendaranya dan dia begitu cepat keluar di tikungan sempit. Tapi kali ini ban yang kami gunakan berbeda dan di antaranya kami punya kelebihan di beberapa bagian lintasan.“

Dia mendapat pertanyaan saat press conference berlangsung oleh beberapa wartawan, salah satunya adalah masalah watu untuk menjadi juara. Marquez hanya perlu dua balapan untuk menang, sedangkan saat di Moto2 butuh empat balapan untuk menang, apakah artinya itu menandakan MotoGP lebih mudah dari Moto2?

“Tidak, tidak, tidak…,“ katanya sambil tersenyum.  “Ketika di moto2 aku jatuh tiga kali berturut-turut.”
