MotoGP 2013: Jelang Balapan di Austin, Rossi Termotivasi Hasil di Qatar

GILAMOTOR.com – Terpacu dari penampilan impresifnya setelah kembali balapan bersama Yamaha, Valentino Rossi punya ekstra motivasi untuk menghadapi seri kedua MotoGP di Austin, Texas, 21 April nanti.

Rossi berhasil finish di posisi kedua setelah tergusur ke posisi tujuh di seri pembuka lalu. Akhir pekan nanti, Rossi dipastikan akan bertarung melawan rekan satu timnya Jorge Lorenzo yang memenangkan balapan malam di Losail, Qatar.

Kedua pembalap Yamaha itu juga dipastikan akan mendapat perlawanan sengit dari duo pembalap Honda, Dani Pedrosa dan Marc Marquez. “Austin akan jadi balapan yang tak mudah, tapi podium di Qatar tentu memberi kami ekstra motivasi,” ucap Rossi. “Kami telah menyelesaikan sebuah pekerjaan besar di sana dan kami bisa pergi ke Austin dengan penuh keyakinan. Kompetitor kami akan sangat kuat, tapi target kami adalah pulang dengan meraih poin.”

Manajer tim Yamaha, Massimo Meregalli, menegaskan bahwa Yamaha akan lebih kompetitif dibanding sesi tes, dimana Yamaha hanya melakukan tes selama dua hari dari tiga hari sesi tes. “Sekarang kami menuju Austin dengan kondisi berbeda dari bulan lalu,” ucap Meregalli.

Meregalli juga menegaskan bahwa data yang telah dikumpulkan selama sesi tes di Austin akan membantu mereka mendapatkan setingan terbaik. Juga dengan melihat data saat sesi latihan nanti dan tentu saja data yang mereka dapat di Qatar. “Modifikasi terakhir yang telah kami buat di motor tentu akan membatu. Di Austin akan jadi balapan yang tak mudah bagi kami, tapi tentunya akan lebih baik dari sesi tes lalu,” yakin Meregalli.

Austin juga akan menjadi sirkuit yang sulit untuk semua tim. Karena hanya tim Repsol Honda, LCR Honda dan Factory Yamaha yang ambil bagian dalam tes pribadi di sirkuit baru itu.
