Skuter Listrik KTM Siap Diproduksi

GILAMOTOR.com. – KTM telah menyatakan akan memperhitungkan kembali produksi motor elektriknya. Tapi baru-baru ini KTM malah mengkonfirmasi akan mengeluarkan dua mesin baru yang dikembangkan dengan desain motor balap Moto3.

Namun demikian, KTM pun tetap fokus pada langkah awal untuk menghadirkan dua motor listriknya, Freeride E dan skutik E-Speed yang akan diperkenalkan pada 2014 dan 2015 sebagai motor yang ramah lingkungan. “Kami yakin motor listrik sangat cocok untuk mobilitas,” ucarp Harald Plockinger, KTM Executive Board Member.

KTM juga mengumumkan bahwa model skuter listriknya, E-Speed akan segara diproduksi. Skuter tersebut dijadwalkan mendarat di pasar Eropa pada 2015 mendatang. “Motor sport off road adalah keahlian kami, kami telah mengembangkan E-Speed, Freeride E, tapi kami juga yakin kami bisa sukses dengan motor perkotaan.”

Untuk masuk ke area perkotaan, KTM membuat E-Speed. Mesin yang digunakan mirip dengan Freeride-E, dengan penyesuaian settingan sehingga nyaman ketika dipakai di perkotan. E-Speed ini akan dipersenjatai motor listrik yang diklaim punya tenaga sampai 14,8 hp dan torsi sebesar 26,6 lb-ft. Sementara Freeride-E punya luaran tenaga lebih bensar. Diklaim bisa mencapai 29,5 hp.
