Finish Ke 28, Topan Mulai Lebih Percaya Diri

GILAMOTOR.com – Rafid Topan Sucipto, mulai memperlihatkan kepercayaan dirinya balapan di Moto2. Pembalap yang disponsori oleh Evalube ini tampil lebih baik di seri ketiga di Jerez dibanding dua seri sebelumnya di Qatar dan Austin.

Di seri ketiga, pembalap tim QMMF bernomor 97 ini sempat terjartuh pada sesi latihan dan memulai balapan dari posisi 34, namun dengan perjuangan, akhirnya berhasil finish di urutan 28.

Jika melihat progress Topan dari 2 seri sebelumnya, seri ketiga ini dia mulai lebih percaya diri. Namun harus diakui bahwa untuk finish di 15 besar dia masih butuh waktu dan proses. Topan pun saat ini masih di level di bawah 20 besar dan berusaha setapak demi setapak finish dengan baik.

“Saya mulai lebih cepat dari lap ke lap, teknik balap juga mulai meningkat karena saya mulai lebih relax dan percaya diri. Tim juga terus bekerja keras memperbaiki setingan motor yang terbaik, khususnya bagaimana mengatasi motor saat tikungan dimana kecepatan motor mulai sedikit melambat. Senang rasanya bisa finish, hal ini menambah kepercayaan saya menghadapi seri berikutnya, ucap Rafid Topan.

Dyan Dilato, Manager Pribadi Rafid Topan Sucipto mengatakan, “Progress yang posisif  saat ini adalah Topan sudah mulai percaya diri saat race. Saya akan terus memantau Topan sampai Moto 2 Le Mans Prancis nanti, Topan harus berlatih naik sepeda 2 jam tanpa berhenti, itu baru bisa mencapai standar. Rencananya akan ada tes lagi pada Selasa dan Rabu besok di Estoril-Portugal,” pungkasnya.
