MotoGP Jerez FP 1: Lorenzo Melesat Di Akhir Sesi

GILAMOTOR.com – Di sesi latihan bebas pertama Jum’at (3/5) di Sirkuit Jerez, Spanyol, Dani Pedrosa seperti mau membuktikan kalau dirinya tak seperti yang dikatakan Kevin Schwantz beberapa hari lalu. Schwantz mengatakan kalau Pedrosa dan manajernya Alberto Puig sama-sama punya kekurangan. Bahkan Schwantz mengatakan bahwa Puig jadi pengaruh buruk bagi runner up tiga kali di MotoGP itu.

Menurut Schwantz, selama 8 tahun bersama Honda, Pedrosa belum pernah menjadi juara dunia.

Di awal-awal sesi latihan, Valentino Rossi memang sempat mencatatatkan waktu tercepat. Tapi selang beberapa menit kemudian, posisinya digeser rekan satu timnya Jorge Lorenzo. Namun catatan waktu tercepat Lorenzo pun dipatahkan pembalap Honda, Dani Pedrosa.

10 menit pertama, Pedrosa memimpin dengan catatan waktu 1 menit 40.174 detik. Selang beberapa menit kemudian, Pedrosa berhasil mempertajam catatan waktunya menjadi 1 menit 39.855 detik. Memasuki paruh latihan bebas, Pedrosa kembali mempertajam catatan waktunya menjadi 1 menit 39.704 detik.

Valentino Rossi tergusur ke posisi empat setelah Cal Crutchlow melesat ke posisi dua menggeser Lorenzo ke posisi tiga. Tapi Lorenzo berhasil mempertajam catatan waktunya dan kembali menempati posisi kedua. Di sisi lain, Marc Marquez lompat dari posisi sebelas ke posisi lima. Posisi lima besar ini bertahan hingga jelang usai.

Namun di detik-detik akhir sebelum 45 menit waktu latihan bebas habis, Lorenzo berhasil menjadi yang tercepat dengan catatan wakti 1 menit 39.701 detik atau selisih 0.003 detik dari Pedrosa.
