Ukur Kemampuan Fisik Dan Skill, Topan Duel Dengan Anthony West

GILAMOTOR.com – Rafid Topan Sucipto antusias dan optimis hadapi seri kelima Moto2 di Mugello, Italia, pada tanggal 2 Juni 2013 mendatang.

Seri kelima di trek Mugello Italia, salah satu sirkuit tersulit di MotoGP dan Moto2 mengharuskan semua pembalap untuk bekerja lebih keras agar dapat fokus dan reaksi lebih tinggi untuk menaklukan trek lurus yang panjang dan tikungan yang lebar. Tentunya dibutuhkan skill dan durabilitas fisik yang prima agar pembalap dapat tampil kompetitif saat lomba sehingga tidak mudah melorot di pertengahan balapan.

Hal ini juga yang sedang dialami oleh pembalap Rafid Topan yang baru memulai debutnya di ajang balap dunia Moto 2 bersama tim QMMF dan didukung oleh pelumas Evalube.

Pembalap bernomor 97 ini masih membutuhkan adaptasi lebih besar, karena faktor fisiknya belum cukup mendukung untuk tampil kompetitif.
“Fisik itu adalah hal yang paling utama dalam balapan. Power besar yang keluar dari motor, butuh durabilitas fisik jika bertarung lebih dari 20 lap. Hal ini jugalah yang mengharuskan seorang pembalap harus lebih matang dari sisi fisik. Kita lihat saja para pembalap papan atas yang tidak pernah terlepas dari sesi latihan (fisik dan skill). Tujuannya tentu agar mereka bisa tambah kompetitif,” urai Dyan Dilato-Manager Rafid Topan Sucipto.
“Nah, sekarang yang sedang ia permantap adalah memperbanyak latihan di gym dan di dirt track atau motocross. Jika ia bisa rutin melakukan hal tersebut disertai dengan mengasah skill dan feeling di track, maka setahap demi setahap pencapaian bisa diperbaiki. Tapi untuk bisa bersaing di lini terdepan, butuh waktu setidaknya 3 tahun. Lihat saja Marc Marquez yang harus berlaga dari bawah,” ulasnya.
Untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peningkatan fisik dan skill Topan dari waktu ke waktu, ia akan tetap berduel dengan rekan setimnya yaitu Anthony West menjalani sesi latihan. Dengan begitu ia bisa membandingkan sampai dimana peningkatan fisiknya memenuhi batas ideal untuk tampil kompetitif.
