AHM Gelar Kompetisi Instruktur Safety Riding

GILAMOTOR.com – Untuk ke-7 kalinya, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) menggelar Astra Honda Safety Riding Instructors Competition (AH-SRIC). Tujuannya, menguatkan komitmen dan partisipasinya dalam kampanye keselamatan berkendara di Tanah Air.

AH-SRIC tahun ini berlangsung tanggal 17-18 Juni di area bekas Bandara Selaparang, Mataram, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Kompetisi tahunan ini berjalan sejak 2007.  Tahun ini diikuti oleh 46 instruktur safety riding Honda dan 44 advisor safety riding Komunitas Honda dari berbagai wilayah di Indonesia.

GM Marketing Planning and Analysis AHM Agustinus Indraputra mengatakan kompetisi instruktur safety riding ini merupakan salah satu bukti bentuk tanggung jawab perusahaan terhadap masalah keselamatan berkendara di Tanah Air. Sebagai pelopor aktivitas safety riding, AHM secara rutin mengadakan kegiatan ini setiap tahun dengan melibatkan para instruktur di jaringan main dealer dan utusan berbagai klub dan komunitas motor Honda. Kegiatan ini merupakan satu-satunya kampanye keselamatan berkendara yang berskala nasional yang diadakan oleh produsen kendaraan roda dua.

Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan terjadi peningkatan kompetensi para instruktur safety riding Honda dan advisor safety riding komunitas Honda. Mereka diharapkan akan menjadi ujung tombak Honda dalam mengkampanyekan keselamatan berkendara di masyarakat. Peserta kegiatan ini diharapkan akan menjadi agen-agen perubahan yang memiliki spirit dan kecakapan tinggi dalam memberikan edukasi keselamatan berkendara di wilayah jaringan Honda.

“Konsistensi kami mengadakan AH-SRIC selama 7 (tujuh) tahun berturut-turut merupakan bukti nyata komitmen kami untuk selalu memperhatikan keselamatan berkendara di masyarakat. Kami punya prinsip No Sales without Safety. Kompetisi ini bagian dari upaya kami memastikan kompetensi instruktur-instruktur Honda supaya dapat melayani masyarakat dengan lebih baik,” ujarnya.

Pada kompetisi AH-SRIC ini, AHM menerapkan standar kompetisi safety riding kelas dunia. Peserta akan mengikuti ujian yang meliputi Coaching Skill, Braking, Narrow Plank, Slalom Pylon, dan Slalom Course. Khusus untuk advisor safety riding komunitas, mereka harus mengikuti tes esai seputar pengetahuan safety riding.

Coaching Skill dipakai untuk menguji kemampuan peserta dalam menyampaikan materi edukasi keselamatan berkendara secara baik dengan bantuan alat simulasi milik Honda, yaitu Honda Riding Trainer (HRT). Alat peraga Honda ini sudah dikenal luas di masyarakat sebagai alat bantu yang sangat efektif dalam edukasi keselamatan berkendara. Khusus pada tahun ini, Honda meningkatkan kemampuan pada perangkat lunak (software) peserta pada alat peraga atau riding trainer yang digunakan, di mana disajikan lebih banyak pilihan sepeda motor dan simulasi pengereman.

“Dari event di Mataram ini, kami akan memilih peserta terbaik yang akan kami kirimkan sebagai duta AHM untuk mengikuti  Kompetisi Instruktur Safety Riding International di Jepang. Kami berharap prestasi tingkat international tahun lalu akan kembali diraih tahun ini.”
