Marquez Juara Di Laguna Seca, Lewati Rossi Seperti Rossi Lewati Stoner

Berkali-kali Marc memerhatikan dan bahkan menjajal tikungan itu dengan skuter. Terakhir dia menjajal dengan RC213V tunggangannya saat sesi latihan bebas.

Berbekal pengalamannya main-main di Laguna Seca selama tiga hari, Marquez berhasil menguasai trek sirkuit paling aneh dan spesial di antara trek lainnya di MotoGP.

Start dari posisi kedua, Marc Marquez sempat kecolongan oleh Valentino Rossi dan Alvaro Bautista. Itu membuat Marquez melorot ke posisi empat. Valentino Rossi yang punya start bagus, langsung menempel pemegang posisi pole, Stefan Bradl. Cukup lama Bradl memimpin jalannya balapan tapi tak cukup lama Valentino Rossi membayangi Bradl.

Setelah Marquez berhasil mendapatkan momentum dan dengan mudah melewati Alvaro Bautista, Marquez langsung menyikat Rossi di Corkscrew. Uniknya, aksi Marquez melewati Rossi persis seperti apa yang Rossi lakukan kepada Casey Stoner tahun 2008 silam saat Stoner masih membalap di Ducati. Setelah Marquez melewatinya, Rossi tak bisa berbuat apa-apa, hanya bisa menyaksikan Marquez berusaha menerkam pembalap Jerman Stefan Bradl. Dan Rossi malah berjuang mempertahankan posisinya dari terkaman pembalap satelit GO&FUN Alvaro Bautista.

Di sirkuit yang ‘lincah’ ini, motor Honda mendominasi sejak latihan bebas. Power mesin RC213V dipadu dengan pembalap muda yang gesit dan lincah, jadi makin sempurna. Honda RC213V semakin kencang dan lincah.

Pembuktiannya bukan hanya oleh motor tim pabrikan, tapi motor tim satelit GO&FUN dan LCR Honda. Sejak balapan dimulai, Bradl langsung tancap gas dan nggak mau tengok-tengok ke belakang. Dia langsung meninggalkan Valentino Rossi dan musuh-musuhnya termasuk Marc Marquez. Tapi Marc Marquez lebih lihai memainkan RC213V nya.

Sepanjang balapan, Marquez berhasil memangkas jarak dari Bradl dari sebelumnya 1.5 detik menjadi 0.2 detik sebelum Marquez berhasil melewati Bradl. Marquez memanfaatkan kelemahan Bradl yakni di tikungan. Setiap masuk tikungan Bradl kalah cepat dengan Marquez yang berani melakukan late braking. Hingga akhirnya Bradl pun harus menyerah oleh pembalap muda asal Spanyol itu.

Dua pembalap beda negara itu mengusai jalannya balapan. Bahkan Marquez dan Bradl berhasil meninggalkan Valentino Rossi yang berjuang mempertahankan posisi ketiga lebih dari tiga detik.

Marquez mendapatkan tambahan 25 poin dan semakin memperkokoh posisinya di puncak klasemen sementara MotoGP 2013. Sementara Bradl finish di posisi kedua membuat sejarah baru bagi dirinya, MotoGP dan Jerman.
