BMW juga menyediakan fitur opsional untuk R1200GS seperti Enduro ABS, Enduro ASC dan semi-active suspension dengan dynamic electronic suspension adjustable.

Selain pembenahan disektor tampilan, R1200GS juga jadi lebih jangkung dengan penambahan ground clearance, pemambahan spring traveler sepanjang 20mm, windshield lebih besar dan masih banyak lagi yang membuat perjalan jarak jauh baik on ataupun off-road jadi lebih nyaman.
