Yamaha Indonesia Siapkan Pembalapnya Untuk Balapan Di Tim Tech3 Moto2 dan MotoGP

GILAMOTOR.com – Yamaha Indonesia dan Yamaha Motor Corporation sudah ada kata sepakat dengan tim Yamaha Tech 3 untuk mengantarkan pembalap Indonesia binaan Yamaha Riding Academy untuk membalap di Moto2.

Hal itu diungkapkan Manager Motorsport Yamaha Indonesia di sela-sela pelepasan 10 pembalap binaan YRA ke sirkuit Sugo, Jepang, Senin (21/10) kemarin di Head Office Yamaha Pulo Gadung Jakarta Timur.

Setelah melalui tahapan YRA Gold Internasional di sirkuit Sugo, Jepang, 4 dari 10 pembalap itu akan dipilih untuk mengikuti uji ketahanan fisik di kejuaraan Suzuka 4 Hours. Tak hanya itu, 10 pembalap itu juga akan mengikuti beberapa kejuaraan nasional maupun internasional untuk mengasah kemampuan dan menambah jam terbang mereka di balapan Supersport 600cc.

Tahapan lebih tinggi lagi, Yamaha Indonesia menjanjikan bahwa pembalap didikan YRA kelak akan dijadikan pembalap Moto2 bersama tim Moto2 asal Perancis, Tech3. Syaratnya para pembalap YRA itu harus berusia maksimal 19 tahun. “Kesepakatan dengan Tech3 sudah tercapai sejak tahun lalu. Dan kami butuh waktu 3 tahun untuk mempersiapkan pembalap sebelum benar-benar siap terjun di balapan internasional,” beber Supriyanto.

“Tech 3 akan membentuk tim baru di Moto2 dan pembalap Indonesia akan jadi pembalapnya. Kami belum tahu berapa pembalap yang akan dimasukkan ke sana, apakah 2 pembalap dalam 1 tim atau salah satunya adalah pembalap Indonesia. Karena mereka [pembalap] harus memenuhi kualifikasinya dulu,” tambah Supriyanto.

Supriyanto membeberkan, mereka menyadari bahwa pembalap Indonesia punya potensi. Komitmen pun muncul dari tim Tech 3 untuk memberi motor pabrikan pada pembalap Indonesia.

“Kami belum tahu siapa pembalapnya. Tapi yang pasti mereka minta pembalapnya harus berusia di bawah 19 tahun.”
