Nikmati Ketangguhan Yamaha X-Ride di Extreme Ride Adventure Challenge

GILAMOTOR.com – Ini adalah kali kedua awak Gilamotor.com blusukan atau off road dengan skuter matik Yamaha X-Ride. Yang pertama blusukan di kawasan lereng Gunung Merapi. Di sana beberapa jurnalis dari media nasional dan lokal diajak menjajal ketangguhan X-Ride yang didesain memang bisa hidup di dua alam. Treknya lumayan ekstrim, mulai dari jalanan kampung yang tak beraspal dan tak beraturan hingga mendaki bukit berpasir dan berbatu sisa erupsi Merapi.

Yang kedua, awak Gilamotor.com ikut dalam hajatan tabloid Otomotif bertajuk X-Race atau Extreme Ride Adventure Challenge yang mengambil lokasi di Bukit Hambalang, Bogor, Jawa Barat, pada Minggu 10 Oktober 2013 kemarin. Hajatan itu bekerja sama dengan Yamaha dan beberapa brand pendukung lainnya.

Awalnya tak ada niatan ikut nyicipin X-Ride di trek untuk kompetisi endurance itu, karena datang ke Sentul hanya untuk meliput acaranya. Tapi setelah tiba di pos pertama yang juga jadi base camp para peserta di Parung Ponteng bersama rekan wartawan OtoSpeed, langsung disodorkan 1 unit X-Ride dan TTR. “Ayo ikutan, tinggal pilih mau bawa X-Ride atau TTR,” ucap seseorang dari tim panitia Yamaha.

Rekan wartawan dari OtoSpeed langsung memilih TTR yang memang punya desain sebagai motor trail. Tapi kalau awak Gilamotor pilih TTR, rasanya bukan hal unik dan menarik, pasalnya motor itu memang untuk melibas medan off road. Berbeda jika naik skutik X-Ride untuk melintasi medan yang sangat-sangat ekstrim untuk dilalui sebuah skuter matik. Mulai dari melewati parit sedalam 40-60cm yang tersambung dengan jalan terjal menanjak berlapis tanah basah. Kemudian tantangan lainnya ada beberapa parit sedalam 30-an cm, jalan terjal berbatu hingga menyebrangi dan menelusuri sungai berbatu dengan kedalaman air bervariasi. Awak Gilamotor sendiri menggunakan 1 unti X-Ride yang sudah dibore up 150cc dengan ban sudah pakai ban tahu.

Jalur ekstrim itu sengaja disiapkan panitia untuk menantang para peserta yang terdiri dari 100 tim. Masing-masing tim terdiri dari 3 orang untuk bertarung di dua kelas yang dilombakan, kelas X-Ride dan kelas umum, maksudnya motornya bebas asal motor Yamaha.

Kompetisi itu berlangsung selama tiga hari sejak hari Jum’at (8/11) sampai Minggu (10/11). Sebelum mengikuti kompetisi, peserta harus lolos scrutineering di lahan parkir Sentul Kecil (8/11) dan berlanjut di hari berikutnya menelusuri trek sejauh 21 km dengan medan yang bervariasi. Peserta berlomba jadi yang terbaik di Time Trial dan Country Road untuk memperebutkan hadiah utama 1 unit mobil Toyota Etios Velco XJ.

Di sela-sela garis start, awak Gilamotor.com, OtoSpeed dan blogger TMCblog jadi tiga peserta di luar peserta resmi. Selepas garis start, kami langsung disuguhkan dengan aliran parit selebar 2 meter dengan kedalaman antara 40-60cm. Awalnya awak Gilamotor gagal melewati trek itu karena ban terjebak di dalam lumpur dan air sedalam 60cm sehingga roda terkunci. Akhirnya start ulang dengan mengganti motor. Dan bruummmm, awak Gilamotor langsung bisa melewati dua rintangan sekaligus, parit selebar 2 m dan tanjakan basah tanpa harus menurunkan kaki untuk mendorong motor ke ujung tanjakan.

Awalnya awak Gilamotor dan TMCblog sempat ragu dan berniat balik badan saja, melewati jalur yang lebih nyaman. Tapi GM Promotion and Community Development Yamaha Indonesia, Eko Prabowo mengajak kami untuk mencicipi treknya, mau tak mau harus jalan terus.

Lepas dari dua tantangan itu, trek berikutnya bukan semakin ringan tapi justru semakin menantang. Hampir tak yakin bisa menyelesaikan perjalanan itu hanya dengan skutik bermesin yang sudah dibore up jadi 150cc. Kapasitas mesin memang besar, tapi tetap saja itu hanya sebuah skuter yang harusnya ada di jalan aspal yang mulus. Bukan di trek macam ini.

Motor kadung menyala, sepatu sudah terlanjur basah dan keringat sudah keluar dari sekujur badan. Modal semangat, kami pun melanjutkan perjalan. Dan benar saja, setelah kami keluar dari base camp, kami harus melewati jalanan yang rasanya tak mungkin dilewati orang waras dengan skuter matik. Tanjakan terjal berbatu dengan sudut kemiringan sekitar 60 drajat dan berlanjut dengan jalan menanjak berlapis pecahan batu cadas sebesar kepala menghampar sejauh hampir 1 km.

Hoosshh, nafas terhembus kencang menatap jalan setapak yang bikin keyakinan mengendur. Tapi tak ada yang bisa dilakukan selain melanjutkan perjalanan. Jatuh-bangun melintasi jalan itu. Sakit tentunya saat kaki menghantam onggokan batu besar saat menahan motor agar tak terjatuh. Tapi semakin kami bisa melewati, kami semakin bersemangat.

Nyali sempat menciut saat melewati turunan terjal berbatu. Maklum, tunggangan kami hanya sebuah skuter matik yang hanya mengandalkan rem tangan untuk melambatkan laju tanpa bantuan engine brake seperti TTR. Terlalu kencang menarik rem, pasti tersungkur. Tapi ketakutan itu sirna bersamaan kenikmatan sensasi off road dengan skuter matik.

Tantangan terakhir, kami harus turun ke sungai berbatu dan menelusuri sungai itu sejauh lebih dari 1 km. Meski demikian, X-Ride mampu melewati sungai dengan kedalaman bervariasi tanpa masalah berarti. Sungguh sebuah pengalaman baru yang luar biasa.

Yamaha X-Ride mampu menempatkan dirinya sebagai skutik dengan kemampuan berbeda dibanding skutik kebanyakan. Kalau bro en sis punya hobi blusukan, silahkan dicoba sensasi off road ektrim pakai skuter matik yang namanya X-Ride.
