Yamaha Siapkan R25, Kawasaki Santai Saja

GILAMOTOR.com – Yamaha kini tengah bersiap untuk bertarung di pasar motor seport 250cc dengan senjata terbaru mereka R25. Meski masih sebagai prototype, tapi ditegaskan Yamaha, versi produksi yang akan diluncurkan pertengahan 2014 mendatang tak akan jauh berbeda dengan R25.

Yamaha R25 punya khans kuat mengoyak dominasi Ninja 250. Pasalnya, selain desain yang agresif dan sporty, konfigurasi mesinnya bisa dibilang head-to-head dengan Ninja 250, 250cc dua silinder.

Meski diyakini para bike enthusiast kalau R25 akan mampu menggangu eksistensi Kawasaki Ninja 250, tapi PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) menanggapinya dengan santai. Bahkan Kawasaki mengakui tak mempersiapkan strategi khusus untuk menyambut kedatangan Yamaha R25. “Sementara ini kami akan tetap berjalan dengan program yang sama seperti yang sudah dijalankan. Lagi pula, spek R25 belum diketahui secara detil,” kata Dewi Septiani, Deputy Department Head Sales & Promotion Department PT KMI di sela-sela Media Gathering di Lembang, Bandung, Jawa-Barat (8/12).

Kawasaki hanya masih menunggu wujud dan spek R25 sebelum menggunakan strategi untuk menghadapi pendatang baru di kelas 250cc itu. “Strategi pasti ada, tapi secara umum kita tak membuat sesuatu yang mengejutkan. Masalah target juga tetap sama, tak ada yang berubah,” tegasnya.

Sejauh ini Ninja 250 tetap mendominasi pasar motor sport kelas 250cc meski pabrikan lain sudah menghadirkan penantangnya seperti CBR250R. Suzuki pun hadir di kelas 250cc dengan model yang berbeda melalui Inazuma 250. Tapi Ninja 250 masih terlalu tangguh untuk ditaklukkan.

Apakah R25 mampu menghadang laju Ninja 250? Kita tunggu saja episode pertarungannya.
