Pabrik Baru KMI, Produksi 4 Model Kawasaki

GILAMOTOR.com – Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd meresmikan pabrik barunya yang kedua di Kawasan Industri MM2100 Cikarang Barat, Bekasi (8/04).

Pabrik ini memiliki fasilitas pengelasan, pengecatan bagian besi dan plastik dan perakitan rangka, permesinan, perakitan mesin dan fasilias pengujian dan akan memproduksi empat model motor Kawasaki, yaitu Ninja RR Mono, KLX 150S, KLX150L, dan D-Tracker150.

“Kami membangun pabrik ini dengan standar modern untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dan kami akan melatih pegawai-pegawai kami untuk mengembangkan kualitas dengan cepat dan efisiensi agar mencapai tahap yang lebih tinggi lagi,” kata President Director PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) Yoshihiro Tanigawa.

Kawasaki masuk ke Indonesia tahun 1994, dan mulai produksi pada 1995 dengan motor bebek sebagai produk pertamanya.

Pasar Indonesia tumbuh dengan cepat dari tahun ke tahun. Dan sejak 2008, Ninja 250R diperkenalkan di Indonesia dan menjadi pilihan para pecinta motor sport. Sejak saat itu, pertumbuhan penjualan Kawasaki di kelas Premium Bike di Indonesia melesat.

“Dari pabrik baru ini, selain memajukan pasar dalam negeri, kami juga berencana mengekspor produk-produknya ke pasar ekspor regional. Kami tertantang untuk melompat ke standar kualitas yang lebih baik sehingga kita bisa mengekspor produk ‘made in Indonesia’ ke luar negeri.”

Kawasaki sudah berkomitmen untuk menjadi leader di kelas Premium Bike di Indonesia. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir Kawasaki telah memperkenalkan motor sport premium seperti Ninja ZX-6R, Ninja650, ER-6n, New Ninja250 dan Ninja ZX-14R.

“Tujuan kami tajam, untuk menjadi merek motorsport premium terbaik di Indonesia,” tutup Tanigawa.
