Yamaha Tak Ikut Indoprix 150cc, Sayang Pebalapnya

GILAMOTOR.com – Musim balap Indoprix 2014 menyuguhkan kelas baru, yaitu kelas 150cc sebagai salah satu jenjang ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi.

Selain itu, peyelenggara mengakui kalau kalas itu untuk memfasilitasi riset kelas sport 150cc dimana tren motor sport belakangan terus menanjak. Itu yang membuat Agen Tunggal Pemegang Merek (ATPM) antusias melakukan riset pengembangan motor sport.

Untuk kelas ini, Suzuki akan andalkan hyper underbone mereka Satria 150FU. Sementara Honda yang sudah menggelar OMR 150cc dengan CB150R belum menyatakan ikut di kelas ini.

Begitu juga dengan Yamaha. Meski punya V-Ixion dan sport terbaru yang akan diluncurkan dalam waktu dekat, YZF-R15, menegaskan tak mau ambil bagian di kelas ini. Alasan utamanya tak ikut Indoprix kelas 150cc adalah faktor safety. Diakui Yamaha, sirkuit yang digunakan tak cocok untuk balapan kelas sport 150cc.

“Kami mempertimbangkan masalah keselamatan pebalap kami. Sirkuitnya tak cocok untuk balapan sport 150cc,” ucap Supriyanto Manajer Motorsport Yamaha Indonesia usai peluncuran Indoprix 2014 di Senayan, Jakarta.

Supriyanto menegaskan kalau perjalanan karir pebalap mereka masih panjang dan Yamaha tak mau pebalapnya mengalami cedera karena memaksakan ikut di kelas 150cc.

“Jalan mereka (pebalap Yamaha) masih panjang. Kami tak mau mereka mengalami cedera atau patah tulang akibat kecelakaan di balapan karena sirkuit yang tak sesuai untuk kelas 150cc. Kalau kelas 150cc diadakan di Sentul Besar, kami akan ikut.”

“Memang cederanya bisa disembuhkan, tapi bekasnya itu akan sulit menerima getaran keras saat mereka naik ke kelas yang lebih tinggi,” kata Supriyanto.

“Vibrasi motor 600cc itu sangat kuat apa lagi balapannya dalam waktu cukup lama, itu akan berpengaruh pada ketahanan fisik. Nah, kalau mereka pernah mengalami cedera patah tulang, tentunya daya tahan fisiknya akan berbeda,” tegasnya lagi.

“Target kami jelas, ke MotoGP pada 2018 nanti. Jadi saat mereka masuk ke MotoGP mereka masih dalam kondisi fisik terbaik mereka.”

Yamaha memang menargetkan akan mengirim pebalap Indonesia ke kelas Moto2 di bawah tim Yamaha Tech 3. Bahkan Yamaha Indonesia menargetkan akan membuat tim sendiri di Moto2.

“Kami rencanakan akan buat tim sendiri, bukan bersama Tech 3. Hal itu sudah kami katakana kepada Yamaha Jepang, dan kami akan jawab tantangan itu,” tegas M. Abidin GM Service and Motorsport Yamaha Indonesia.
