“Kita memang belum pengalaman balap Vespa, pebalapnya aja Lukman Rasyid baru 4 kali ikut balapan dan belum pernah balapan apa pun termasuk balapan motor bebek. Tapi Alhamdulillah kita bisa finish ke-3 di penyisihan,” kata Fahni, lelaki gemuk yang jadi manajer tim OSR di Sentul.

“Ubahannya kita fokuskan pada sistem isapnya, kita ubah jadi sistem valve. Terus di jantung pacunya kita pakai seher Ninja ukuran 59,5 mm. Sehernya plek karena sama-sama 150cc. Terus pengapiannya kita senggol dikit. Yang lainnya, selain pakai cop busi KTC knalpot kita pakai Jipenk,” sambung si mekanik, Ripan Oktafian.

Itu jadi senjata OSR buat ngadepin lawan-lawannya yang pakai Vespa tahun produksi jauh lebih muda. “Selain itu, karburator kita pakai punya Koso 26mm dan tabung YEIS custom yang dibuat di bengkel kita sendiri.”

“Pakai YEIS, anginnya jadi lebih baik dan membantu pembakaran jadi lebih sempurna,” lanjut Ripan.

“Urusan kaki-kaki kita pakai sokbreker Kayaba di depan dan belakang dan ban Bridgestone Battlax 10 inch,” tegas sang mekanik.

Meski tak beruntung saat balapan karena ada masalah pada baut suspensi, tapi Lukman masih bisa menyelesaikan balapan walau finish ke-2 dari belakang.

“Mesin nggak ada masalah sama sekali. Tapi nggak tau gimana ciritanya, baut sokbreker bisa copot gitu. Jadi sepanjang balapan nggak pake sok. Aneh sih, tapi itu yang terjadi. Makanya bisa finish ke-2 dari belakang sudah alhamadulillah karena nggak terjadi apa-apa sama si pembalap dan motornya,” lanjut Fahni.

Vespa Strada lansiran 1986 ini kini sedang bersiap menanti seri selanjutnya. “Insha Allah OSR ikut semua seri. Kalau ada rejeki kita akan turun dengan dua motor. Yang satunya sedang dalam proses pengembangan,” tutup Fahni.
