Yamaha Indonesia Pelajari Datangkan Skuter Tricity

GILAMOTOR.com – Selain R25, produk Rev Station Yamaha lainnya adalah skuter tiga roda, Tricity.

Sejauh ini, skuter pesaing Piaggio MP3 ini sudah ada di Indonesia melalui importir umum [IU]. Lantas bagaimana dengan Yamaha Indonesia sendiri?

PT. Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing [YIMM], mengakui kalau mereka belum siap untuk mendatangkan Tricity. Yamaha mengatakan, sampai saat ini mereka masih mempelajari pasar dan faktor lain terkait mendatangkan Tricity ke Indonesia.

“Tricity belum, tahun ini masih dipelajari. Mudah-mudahan datang ke sini,” kata GM Marketing Communication & Community Development Yamaha Indonesia, Eko Prabowo di sela pelepasan mudik bareng Yamaha di Head Office Yamaha, Pulo Gadung, Jakarta Timur, Jumat (25/7/2014).

Dikatakan Eko, untuk Tricity, Yamaha juga harus mempelajari karakter masyarakat Indonesia yang belum tentu menerima skuter 3 roda. “Meski segmennya berbeda dengan skutik Yamaha lainnya, tapi pasti ada pemikiran soal ganti ban, service, karena bentuk Tricity berbeda, dan itu juga harus dipelajari,” kata Eko.

“Mudah-mudahan banyak, tapi apakah segmennya akan banyak? Mungkin ini akan sama seperti MT-09 atau MT-07, untuk segmen kelas atas,” tutup Eko.

Soal Tricity sendiri, dikatakan Yamaha, konsep desain dan pengembangan sepenuhnya berbeda dengan motor tiga roda yang sudah ada di pasaran. Yang membuat unik skuter 3 roda ini adalah bobotnya yang lebih ringan dan kompak dibanding model skuter 3 roda lainnya. Diklaim, bobot kosongnya hanya 150 kg.

Mesinnya berkapasitas 125cc 4 tak berpendingin cairan. Yamaha mengklaim, skuter ini menawarkan keseimbangan terbaik antara performa, efisiensi dan bobotnya. Fitur lain yang ditawarkan Tricity adalah kompartemen besar di bawah kursinya yang bisa menyimpan helm full face.
