Yamaha Super Tenere : Penantang Baru BMW R1200GS

BMW R1200GS rasanya kini harus benar-benar waspada, pasalnya motor konsep Yamaha Super Tenere kini telah berwujud menjadi Yamaha XT1200Z Seper Tenere 2010 yang diproyeksikan sebagai pesaing serius di segmen motor sport petualang. Beberapa fitur teknologi yang ada seperti 3 tingkatan model traction control dan super smart braking system. Yamaha mengklaim bahwa motor penjelajah gurun ini tak ubahnya sebuah mobil SUV yang mampu dan memberikan kenyamanan tinggi di medan off road dan on road.

Kini Yamaha benar-benar telah menarik selubung XT1200Z Seper Tenere yang sangat dinanti sebagai model di 2010. Kehadiran Super Tenere seolah membawa kembali masa kejayaan Yamaha di ajang Dakar Adventure pada tahun 80-an hingga tahun 90-an.

Mesin
Super Tenere dibekali dengan mesin baru 4-stroke, DOHC, inline 2-cylinder, 4-valve, fuel injected, twin spark. Mesin ini mampu memuntahkan tenaga maksimal hingga 80.9kW / 110PS pada 7250 rpm dan torsi maksimum hingga 114.1 Nm / 11. 6kgfï½¥m pada 6000 rpm. Melihat torsi yang dihasilkan dari mesin ini, jelaslah sudah bahwa sang petualang Yamaha telah kembali.

Sistem pengontrol throttle dengan sistem YCC-T fly-by-wire sama seperti yang diterapkan pada R1, R6 dan V-MAX. Namun untuk Super Tenere ini Yamaha menambahkan bonus teknologi 3 tingkatan sistem traction control.

Sistem Pengereman
Sistem pengereman pada Super Tenere terdengar sangat baik. ABS yang diteparkan sangat efektif sebagai fitur keamanan di jalan. Dan sebuah kombinasi sistem pengereman yang membantu mendistribusikan kontrol dan kenyamanan saat melakukan pengereman, terutama saat pengendara berdiri.

Yamaha membuat sebuah ABS elektronik yang dikombinasikan dengan sistem pengereman menggunakan sensor kecepatan yang ditempatkan pada ban depan dan belakang.
