Retro Classic Cycles bekerja sama dengan HDCI (Harley Davidson Club Indonesia) Yogyakarta mencoba menghidupkan kembali program kompetisi motor custom terbesar di Indonesia, “Kustom Bike Kontest†Jogja Bike Rendezvous 2011.
Dalam keterangan pers yang diterima GilaMotor.com, Selasa (12/4), Kompetisi motor custom terbesar yang memiliki tema “The Legend is Back†ini akan diselenggarakan di Hall Utama Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Yogyakarta pada tanggal 15 s/d 16 April 2011.
Lulut Wahyudi selaku Direktur Retro Classic Cycles menegaskan bahwa Indonesia perlu memiliki sebuah kompetisi motor custom berstandar Internasional sebagai perwujudan eksistensi custom kultur Indonesa.
Kompetisi ini akan mempertemukan berbagai komunitas custom dan secara berkala akan memacu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan custom kultur di Indonesia.
Acara ini juga didukung oleh salah satu provider layanan telekomunikasi di Indonesia, AXIS, yang mengaku berkomitmen mendukung Retro Classic Cycles ini.
Kompetisi “Kustom Bike Kontest †Jogja Bike Rendezvous 2011 mempertandingkan lima kategori utama yaitu: Stock Kustom Harley Davidson, Vintage & Classic Harley Davidson, Stock Kustom non Harley Davidson, Chopper & Retro serta kategori Pro Street.
Selain itu, kompetisi yang diselenggarakan oleh Retro Classic Cycles sebagai sebuah langkah awal untuk memperkuat posisi Indonesia di kancah kompetisi custom dunia, juga memberikan apresiasi untuk dua kategori nominasi khusus yaitu Best People Choice dan Best Painting.
Format kompetisi menerapkan standar Internasional dimana penilaian bukan hanya dari akhir bentuk objek motor semata, melainkan mempertimbangkan aspek menyeluruh meliputi konsep yang ditunjang dengan harmonisasi, teknik dan estetika serta fungsi sebagai motor seutuhnya.
Beberapa nama besar yang sudah lama berkecimpung dalam dunia custom bike akan menjadi juri dalam kontes ini, sebut saja Eddy Red Garage  dari Malaysia, Lulut Wahyudi dari Retro Classic Cycles, Agus Sugiana dan Ponco Hendrawan.
Kompetisi ini memperebutkan total hadiah 42 Juta Rupiah dan Penghargaan Khusus Trophy “Kustom Bike Kontest† Jogja Bike Rendezvous 2011.
