Thunder 250 : Mengenang Sang Kolonel

Ya, Thunder 250 lansiran 2010 ini adalah pemberian almarhum papa tercintanya sebelum menutup masa tugasnya di dunia. Karena itu, kata Ragil, grafis airbrush yang ada pada tubuh Thunder 250 nya dibuat untuk mengenang sang Purn. Kol. Marinir Sunaryo.

Untuk mengenang almarhum, jelas Ragil, grafis airbrush yang berhubungan dengan sang Kolonel dibubuhkan di beberapa bagian Thunder 250 miliknya.

Di tangki terpampang kalimat In Memoriam of Purn.Kol.Mar.Sunaryo. Sementara di spatbor dibuat grafis bergambar jangkar dan elang yang menjelaskan Batalion I Marinir Tanjung Perak, Surabaya, tempat sang papa pernah bertugas.

Thunder 250 ini sesungguhnya sempat beberapa kali ganti warna. Bahkan tunggangan yang kini dijuluki sebagai Hantu Laut untuk mengenang almarhum sang papa yang seorang Marinir, sempat beberapa kali mengalami pembengkakan kapasitas mesin hingga 300 cc. Maklum, itu karena sang empunya doyan banget ngebut.

“Dari dulu gw suka ikut balap one make race nya Suzuki. Tahun 2002 gw berhasil dapet juara dua kelas eksebisi Thunder 250 pemula dan tahun 2003 jadi juara umum Thunder 250 pemula,” terang Ragil.

Dunia balap ternyata bukan satu-satunya hobi yang dimiliki pemuda jebolan Institut Teknologi Indonesia ini, tapi menghabiskan ban alias burn out juga menjadi bagian aktivitasnya.

“Jangan ditanya berapa banyak ban yang udah gw habisin buat burn out, dari dulu gw demen banget sama yang satu itu. Makanya konsep airbrush motor gw juga pake unsur burn, Burning Flame Hantu Laut,” terang pemuda kelahiran Jakarta, 29 tahun silam ini.

Biacara masalah tema airbrush, Ragil mengaku terinspirasi dari sebuah tayangan Discovery Channel yang memperlihatkan sebuah helicopter milik pengusaha pizza di Nevada yang diberi grafis airbrush seperti terbakar.
