Lorenzo Akan Ikut Balapan di Jepang

GILAMOTOR.com. – Yamaha mengkonfirmasi bahwa dua pebalap nya, Jorge Lorenzo dan Ben Spies akan ikut balapan di Motegi, Jepang.

Sebelumnya, Lorenzo menjadi salah satu pebalap yang menolak untuk bertandang ke sirkuit Twin Ring Motegi, Jepang, karena kawatir akan terkena dampak buruk dari efek radiasi nuklir Fukushima yang meledak akibat gempa dan tsunami Maret lalu.

Kendati sesungguhnya dia (Lorenzo) turut prihatin dan memberikan dukungan moril kepada Jepang untuk bangkit dari keterpurukan akibat musibah itu, namun dia tetap menolak untuk ikut balapan di Motegi. Menurutnya, memberikan dukungan bukan berarti dirinya juga harus berada di lokasi yang membahayakan.

Namun pada Senin (12/9), Yamaha mengatakan bahwa kedua pebalap nya akan ikut seri tersebut.

Yamaha juga mengkonfirmasi bahwa tim mereka akan hadir dengan livery 50th anniversary merah dan putih untuk ke empat kalinya di musim ini.
