Cedera Lama Kambuh, Ben Spies Absen Di Jerez

GILAMOTOR.com. – Ben Spies dipastikan tidak akan mengikuti balapan MotoGP seri ketiga di Jerez, Spanyol. Hal ini dipastikan oleh juru bicara tim Ignite Pramac Racing.

Absennya Spies di Jerez dikarenakan cedera bahu yang didapatnya saat balapan di Malaysia tahun. Kini cedera itu kambuh lagi. Menurut Spies, dia yakin kondisinya mulai membaik saat datang ke Texas pada balapan akhir pekan kemarin. Namun Spies merasakan sakit pada pundaknya ketika sesi pemanasan sebelum balapan.

“Setelah balapan di Texas, Spies terlihat tidak dalam kondisi baik dan pihak medis menyarankan agar Spies beristirahat beberapa minggu untuk mengurangi ketegangan pada bagian pectorals dan otot punggungnya,” jelas tim Pramac.

Ben Spies juga harus berusaha agar otot bahunya kembali kuat untuk balapan. Akan ada terapi khusus yang berbeda dari pengobatan sebelumnya. Kondisi fisik Ben Spies yang prima, diharapkan tiga minggu ke depan bisa balapan di Lemans Perancis.

“Kami mengalami sedikit masalah pada saraf di dada, aku tidak tahu pasti jika penyebabnya dari pundakku, tapi pundaku lebih baik setelah di Qatar, dan memang baik.”

“Dua lap sebelum sesi pemanasan aku mengalami sedikit gangguan di bagian dada dan rasanya seperti ditusuk pisau. Aku tidak tahu apa yang terjadi. Kami pergi ke klinik kesehatan dan mereka berusaha keras agar aku bisa balapan. Kami perlu bekerja keras untuk kembali ke 100%, karena sebenarnya memang kami belum sampai kondisi 100% saat ini.”

Tim belum menentukan siapa pembalap yang akan menggantikan Spies di Jerez nanti.
