Seperti Bajaj Auto yang memperkenalkan motor sport bermesin 400cc dalam dua model, fairing dan naked. Di India Auto Expo Bajaj memperkenalkan CS400 dan SS400. Keduanya terlihat begitu seksi, jauh lebih seksi dari generasi motor Bajaj sebelumnya.

Dengan mesin 400cc, Bajaj tentunya mulai memberi ancaman pada merek Jepang yang lebih dulu bermain di segmen itu. Tak hanya ancaman di pasar Asia, tapi juga Eropa dan Amerika dimana pemotor di dua benua itu lebih tertarik dengan motor bermesin besar.

Bajaj-CS400-Naked

CS400 tampil sebagai model naked dengan desain yang tak terlalu ekstrim dibanding model Bajaj sebelumnya. Tapi SS400 hadir dengan desain yang lebih radikal. Garis-garis tegas dan menyudut pada fairingnya membuat SS400 terlihat lebih bengis, termasuk pengaplikasian dua lampu projector yang membuatnya seperti memiliki DNA R1.

Bajaj-SS400-Front

Model CS400 sudah mengaplikasi suspensi upside-down dan kedua model itu juga mengaplikasi suspensi belakang monoshock. Tak hanya itu, sistem pengereman Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) jadi fitur standar keduanya.

Baik CS400 maupun SS400, keduanya dipersenjatai mesin 375cc dari basis KTM Duke 390, silinder tunggal, berpendingin cairan dan transmisi 6 percepatan.
