YZF-R25, Nama Global Sport 250cc Yamaha

GILAMOTOR.com – Yamaha R25 dipastikan akan hadir di pasar Indonesia pada pertengahan bulan Mei 2014 mendatang.

Hadir sebagai prototype di helatan Tokyo Motor Show 2013 lalu, Yamaha memberi lebel motor 250cc itu dengan R25. Valentino Rossi diproyeksikan sebagai brand ambassador sport yang digadang-gadangkan sebagai baby M1 itu akan hadir dengan sebutan nama R25.

“R25 akan jadi nama global. Bukan hanya di Indonesia tapi di seluruh dunia,” kata Eko Prabowo, GM Marketing Communication and Community Development PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) di Bali, Selasa 29 April 2014.

Dengan kata lain, versi prototype dan versi produksi sama-sama menggunakan nama YZF-R25. Sport seperempat liter itu menggunakan dual headlamp dengan desain yang runcing seperti mata elang.

R25 dilengkapi dengan mesin 249cc, 2 silinder segaris, 4 tak, perbendingin cairan dan sudah mengaplikasi sistem injeksi dengan transmisi 6 percepatan
