Yamaha MT-07 dan MT-09 Bintangi Film Anime Master Of Torque

Lewat film anime Master of Torque – nama yang singkatannya MT-, dua produk yang dirilis di 2013 itu muncul dalam jalur cerita menarik anime keluaran dari Yamaha Motor Corporation (YMC) Jepang. Proyek ini merupakan upaya Yamaha untuk mengkomunikasikan lifestyle motor, lewat cerita semi fiksi Tokyo, Jepang.

Master of Torque terdiri dari 4 episode yang bisa dilihat di YouTube dan website khusus. Anime itu menggambarkan tentang bagaimana rasanya menikmati hidup dengan bermotor.

Teaser Master of Torque pertama kali diperlihatkan di Tokyo Motor Show 2013. Di musim semi 2014, episode pertamanya dirilis online sebagai seri anime pertama Yamaha Motor.

Pesan yang disampaikan kepada pengendara dan non pemotor adalah bagaimana fun-nya memiliki dan naik motor dengan menyaksikan versi anime itu di beberapa wilayah iconic Tokyo. Anime itu menarik perhatian banyak pengunjung di sebuah lokasi persimpangan terkenal Shibuya dimana ditayangkan 30 detik di salah satu layar raksasa.

Di luar pekerjaannya, dia tinggal bersama dengan tante-nya, Sanae. Dan Amo seorang berupah besar, tapi di malam hari kerjanya membuat orang terpesona akan bakat alaminya sebagai pengendara motor hebat, Biasanya dia terlihat naik motor mengantarkan paket untuk Sanae ke Route 246 lokasi Genesis Café milik Sanae. Bakat alaminya ulung naik motor membuat Dan Amo dijuluki “Zebra”, dan terpandang diantara para rider di wilayah Route 246.

Lalu diceritakan suatu saat ketika tengah mengantarkan paket, Dan dikejar Kotaro Hyuga, pewaris Hyuga Corporation. Kotaro memakai wearpack canggih digital teknologi yang tengah dikembangkan, dan berupaya melewati Zebra sebagai sentuhan akhir keberhasilan penggunaan wearpack itu. Dan kehilangan jejak Kotaro dan para pemburunya, lalu dia kembali ke Genesis Café, tapi dibuntuti oleh wartawan freelance Makina Mikage. Begitulah Dan Amo, seorang pekerja biasa yang dapat berubah drastis menjadi petualang dengan sentuhan tinggi “Rev” di malam hari.

Wearpack itu dinamakan Marishi Machina yang merupakan hasil ambisi pimpinan Hyuga Corporation, Mitsukuni Hyuga. Wearpack itu sempat mengontrol tubuh Makina yang efeknya membuatnya memacu motor MT-07 dengan sangat cepat menuju bagian baru jalan tol Shutoko yang sedang dalam pembangunan. Dan berupaya menyelamatkannya dengan mengeluarkan semua kemampuan dan insting riding “Zebra”-nya. Tidak mudah mendekatkan jarak dengan Makina yang sangat cepat akibat wearpack Makina. Kotaro pun ternyata ikut mengejar karena tidak ingin menyia-nyiakan kesempatan bisa lebih cepat dari “Zebra”, tak mau dikalahkan.
