New Jupiter MX Makin Bertenaga

GilaMotor, JAKARTA. – Perhelatan akbar Jakarta Motorcycle Show 2010 memang menjadi momentum yang tepat untuk memajang dan meluncurkan produk-produk baru ke pasar otomotif Indonesia. Momen ini pun tak disia-siakan seluruh pabrikan motor di Indonesia.

Seperti yang dilakukan PT Yamaha Motor Kencana Indonesia (YMKI) dengan menghadirkan salah satu produknya, generasi terbaru New Jupiter MX.

Dari segi desain, New Jupiter MX ini terlihat jauh lebih sporty dengan fairing yang terlihat sedikit lebih gambot dibanding generasi sebelumnya. Sementara penambahan cakram pada rem belakangnya, kian memperkuat karakter Jupiter MX yang  kuat.

Kendati dikatakan hanya sebagai facelift saja, namun perubahan yang diusung bebek sport Yamaha ini sangat jauh dari generasi sebelumnya. Bukan hanya pada sektor tampilan bodi, tapi dari luaran tenaga yang dihasilkan mesinnya juga terjadi perubahan.

Dari keterangan spesifikasi yang dikeluarkan Yamaha, mesin berkapasitas 134,4 cc, berpendingin cairan, 4 tak SOHC, 4 katup, satu silinder yang digendongnya, mampu memproduksi tenaga maksimal hingga 9,21 kW atau 12,52 PS pada 8.500 rpm. Angka ini terjadi peningkatan hampir 1 kW dari generasi sebelumnya yang hanya 8,45 kW pada 8.500 rpm.

Sementara torsinya mampu mencapai angka 12,14 Nm pada 6.000 rpm atau meningkat hampir 1 Nm dari generasi sebelumnya yang hanya 11,65 Nm pada 5.500 rpm.

Selain itu, transmisi yang diusung New Jupiter MX ini juga mengalami perubahan dengan penambahan 1 tingkatan percepatan dari generasi sebelumnya yakni menjadi 5 percepatan.

Cukup? Belum cukup. Selain perubahan pada jumlah percepatan transmininya, sistem perpindahannya pun mengalami perubahan dengan mengadopsi sistem perpindahan gigi layaknya V-Ixion, 1-N-2-3-4-5.

Ikhwal harga jual New Jupiter MX ini kemungkinan besar akan ada sedikit kenaikan dari generasi sebelumnya. Hanya saja, pihak Yamaha belum memberikan keterangan resmi berapa harga jual motor ini.

“Motor ini akan segera hadir. Untuk waktu peluncuran dan harga jualnya akan kami kabarkan lebih lanjut,” papar Presiden Direktur PT YMKI, Dyonisius Beti.
