44 Pembalap Dari 6 Negara Bertarung Di YACR Sentul

GILAMOTOR.com – Yamaha Asean Cup Race (YACR) ke-10 digelar di Sentul International Circuit, Bogor, 30 November – 1 Desember 2013. Balapan ini diikuti 6 negara dengan 44 pembalap di dua kelas.

Enam negara partisipan adalah Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah, juara bertahan Thailand, Malaysia, Filipina, India dan Jepang. Indonesia mengikutsertakan 10 pembalap yang lolos dari hasil perjuangan mereka di seri region dan final Yamaha Cup Race, Malaysia dan Thailand masing-masing mengutus 10 pembalap, Filipina 6 pembalap, India 5 pembalap dan Jepang 3 pembalap.

Dua kelas dibuka di YACR tahun ini, kelas Expert/Seeded Sport (ST) dan kelas Novice/Pemula Moped (Manual Transmission/MT). Kelas Sport menggunakan motor street sport model Yamaha YZF-R15 dan kelas Moped dengan motor juara Indoprix 2013, Jupiter Z1. Sebanyak 21 pembalap mengikuti Kelas Sport dan 23 pembalap di Kelas Moped.

”Yamaha Asean Cup Race adalah event motorsport Yamaha yang tidak hanya sebagai ajang kompetisi tapi juga merupakan tempat edukasi untuk meningkatkan performa pembalap agar mendapatkan pengalaman bertarung di level internasional. Di tahun ini dibuka kelas Sport dengan R15 yang memberikan pengalaman membalap dengan motor sport, tidak hanya motor bebek. Melalui event ini pun Yamaha ingin mempertegas brand image khususnya lewat motorsport yang dan sebagai persiapan untuk kompetisi di tahun 2014,” papar M.Abidin, General Manager Service & Motorsport Yamaha Indonesia.
