Platform nya dari CBR300R, alias pengembangan dari mesin CBR250R. CB300F dilengkapi mesin 286cc dengan bore 76mm dan stroke 63mm. Dengan gear box manual 6 percepatan, mesin ini diklaim punya luaran tenaga sekira 30 hp dan torsi 27 Nm.

Penunggang CB300F punya keuntungan dari posisi pengendaraan yang lebih tegak. Artinya, punggung nggak akan pegel-pegel banget bro, saat lo melakukan perjalanan jarak jauh alias touring. Sejatinya, model ini memang pas banget buat para pecinta touring.

Honda melengkapi CB300F dengan ban 17 “, 110/70 di depan dan 140/70 di bagian belakang. Sedangkan di pengereman pakai cakram 296mm depan dan 220 belakang.

Kalau dibilang naked bike ini adalah CBR300R telanjang ada benarnya. Pasalnya, wheelbase dan tinggi joknya nggak berubah dari CBR, 138 dan 78 cm. Kalau bobotnya jelas berkurang lantaran Honda menanggalkan fairing CBR, sehingga bobotnya jadi 157,6 kg sedangkan CBR300R bobotnya 161,7 kg.
