Honda Owner Club, Bersihkan Ciliwung Dan Tanam 1200 Pohon

GILAMOTOR.com – Honda Owner Club (HOC) mengadakan bakti sosial dengan melakukan Susur Sungai Ciliwung membersihkan sampah dan menghijaukan bantaran sungai dengan 1.200 pohon.

HOC yang merupakan klub motor beranggotakan karyawan PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) menggelar kegiatan sosial ini dalam rangka memperingati hari jadinya yang ke-12. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di ruas Sungai Ciliwung di kawasan Tanjung, Cililitan, Jakarta Timur pada Minggu, 27 Oktober 2013.

Dengan menggunakan beberapa perahu karet, sekitar 100 anggota HOC bekerja sama dengan Komunitas Pecinta Ciliwung (KPC) bersama-sama membersihkan sampah yang ada di sungai yang seringkali meluap saat hujan deras mengguyur Ibu kota. Pembersihan sampah sungai ini dilanjutkan dengan penanaman 1.200 bibit pohon di bantaran sungai yang terdiri dari jenis pohon trembesi, sengon, dan kayu putih.

“Kami ingin berbuat sesuatu yang bermakna bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan. Sungai Ciliwung pilihan kami tahun ini dalam rangka memperingati ulang tahun HOC yang ke-12,” ujar Ketua Umum HOC Mustofa.

Head of Corporate Communication AHM Kristanto mengatakan kegiatan bakti sosial komunitas motor karyawan AHM ini sejalan dengan program tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, yang salah satunya fokus dengan masalah lingkungan. “Kami mengapresiasi aktivitas bakti sosial HOC ini karena sebagai sebuah komunitas dapat berkontribusi langsung dalam melestarikan lingkungan,” ujarnya.

Mustofa menambahkan dalam rangkaian memperingati hari jadinya, HOC juga akan melakukan kampanye safety riding yang akan dilaksanakan pada puncak acara yang digelar di lapangan pacuan kuda Pulo Mas pada 9 November 2013. Pada event ini, HOC akan menggelar gathering yang akan dimeriahkan dengan beragam acara hiburan mulai dari free style basket ballhingga music performance oleh AHM Big Band, Lemon Tea dan Rastapuccini.
